The intriguing city of Baldur’s Gate will be the centerpiece of Wizards of the Coast’s newest adventure.
Although the campaign is intended for Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition, it will act as a prologue to the forthcoming video game Baldur’s Gate 3. During a recent live-stream event, Dungeons and Dragons Principal Narrative Designer Chris Perkins described the new campaign as “Dungeons and Dragons meets Mad Max: Fury Road.”
While the narrative starts in the city of Baldur’s Gate, players will soon find themselves in the first tier of the nine hells, Avernus. The tale will be filled with fire, brimstone, and demonic horrors from then on.
