ASRock has two mining cards in the Phantom series. They are designed to be used for gaming and mining, but they also have a unique feature that allows them to be used as an external GPU.

ASRock has two mining cards in the Phantom series. The first is a high-end model, and the second is a low-end model.

ASRock officially entered the world of graphics cards three weeks ago, with the Phantom series Radeon graphics cards. Because Nvidia has collaborated with a number of major graphics card manufacturers in GPP, such as Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, and others, the Radeon stands apart. Nonetheless, ASRock and Asus managed to discover a method to make Radeon cards that were competitive.

ASRock debuted their Phantom series of Radeon cards at the same time that Asus debuted its AREZ series. However, the series is not restricted to gaming graphics cards, as we now have a few cards in the RX range that seem to be designed for mining. Three RX 570s are mentioned on the official ASRock website under the Phantom series GPUs section. These are the following:-

  1. Radeon RX570 8G OC Phantom Gaming X
  2. Radeon RX570 8G Phantom Gaming M1
  3. Radeon RX570 4G Phantom Gaming M1

The Phantom Gaming X RX 570 8GB OC is unquestionably a gaming graphics card, with a massive aluminum heatsink and copper heat pipes. It has a twin fan design and five I/O connections, including DVI, HDMI, and DP. The Phantom Gaming M1 RX 570 8G and 4G versions, on the other hand, feature a totally new heatsink design. Those two cards don’t have the typical aluminum heatsink seen on graphics cards, instead opting for a smaller version of the standard AMD GPU heatsink.

There are no copper heat pipes visible in the official photos of the cards, and the lack of I/O ports (save one DVI connector) is the most telling sign that they are mining GPUs. One output port, in my view, is for if you wish to use it for anything other than mining in the future. However, this is a dead giveaway that they are mining cards, since no manufacturer would make a gaming card with just one display output connector.

The only difference between the two cards is the memory size. On both cards, the specifications and design are identical. We don’t have any price information for these cards, and it’s possible that they won’t be accessible anywhere.
