It’s obvious from the specs that if you want smoother gameplay, you’ll need at least a GTX 1050 to run it at 1080p. But first, have a look at the STTR gameplay on the GTX 1050 Ti:-
The user utilized a GTX 1050 with an i5 7500, which is a better CPU than the i3 3220 from the minimal requirements. He has it set to nearly medium graphics settings and is playing it in 1080p. Although I don’t suggest utilizing that function since it lowers the framerate below what you’d term “playable,” I would still recommend it because Ray Tracing isn’t the primary goal here, but 60 frames per second is. This isn’t because it’s the greatest 4K GPU, but rather because the RTX 2080 Ti is too costly when comparing price to performance, thus the RTX 2080 Super seems to be a better choice. It is around 5% quicker than the RTX 2080, but costs $700, which was the RTX 2080’s launch pricing.
It features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a memory speed of 15.5Gbps, which is just what you need for a performance boost. At 4K, this GPU can comfortably run the STTR on extreme settings at 60 frames per second, which is a few frames faster than the non-Super version. Also, playing with RTX ON at 1080p resolution will be simpler now, giving you that extra visual candy you’ll enjoy.
