I am a big fan of board games, and I have been a fan of the board game classic Catan for the last few years. After the success of the Catan app on my Switch I decided to give the board game a shot.

Catan is a board game that has been around for a while and recently released on the Nintendo Switch. It is an excellent game that has taken over many board game groups. It can be played with 2 or more players and is an excellent game of strategy and luck. Catan is a race to build settlements (cities) and roads between settlements. Settlements can be built on any unoccupied region. The winner is the first player to obtain 10 victory points.

Catan is a board game created by Klaus Teuber and first published in Germany in 1995. The game has since been translated and published all over the world, and is one of the most popular board games on the market. The game originated from a simple trick played by Teuber, who discovered that simultaneously playing a board game and a chess game can be quite entertaining.

I was thrilled when Nintendo announced Catan for the Switch, but I was also worried that the creators wouldn’t be able to recreate the unique enchantment of the tabletop board game that has swept the globe (and my brothers and me) by storm. After all, previous attempts by publisher Asmodee Digital and developer Exozet to bring the Catan experience to digital devices, such as the multiplatform Catan Universe, have been notoriously plagued with bugs and lacking in features, and I knew going in that this iteration of the game would not feature local play (whether locally against other Switch players or on a single console), a tad disappointing. For some, that fact alone may be a deal breaker, but I knew I had to get it for the love of the game.

Catan’s a great game, but the Switch deserves better than the boring formula that has accompanied it thus far. Below, I’ll review the Catan app for Switch, and my experience with it. It’ll be quick, and not too technical.. Read more about catan switch online multiplayer friends and let us know what you think.
