To commemorate the success of Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate Core Fighters, Team NINJA has chosen to launch a series of ‘Tailgate’ events throughout the next several weeks (DOA5U: Core Fighters). Access to Leon and Rachel, the Tecmo Bowl Throwback, and new ‘Grades’: Emerald, Ruby, and Topaz are among the limited-time in-game and free features.
Tecmo Bowl outfits for Bass, Bayman, Leon, Rachel, Zack, and Tina have been published for American Football enthusiasts. Through November 26th, Tecmo Bowl Throwback and DOA5U: Core Fighters are included with the purchase of any of the six outfits or the complete Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Champion set. Players of DOA5U: CORE FIGHTERS may also utilize Leon and Rachel for free until November 19th, as part of a limited-time promotion (PlayStation 3 only).
DOA5 Ultimate is an expanded edition of 2012’s Dead or Alive 5, incorporating some features from Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the PlayStation Vita, as well as new and returning characters (including two Ninja Gaiden characters), as well as gameplay system tweaks and expansions, many of which are in the online multiplayer tag team mode (including an introduction of two-on-two tag team battles).
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Core Fighters is a free-to-play reduced version of DOA5 Ultimate that was published with the regular game on the PlayStation Store. Sega will release the arcade version as Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Arcade later in 2013.
