AMD’s Ryzen processors are comparable to Intel’s i5, but they have a lower price and more cores. This has given the Ryzen processor a competitive edge in the PC gaming market.

The ryzen equivalent to i5 10th gen is a processor that has been released by AMD. Ryzen processors are comparable to Intel’s current generation i5 processors.

The Intel versus AMD conflict is a never-ending CPU battle that is really beneficial to PC consumers since it offers a wide range of choices. Ryzen has now absorbed the majority of the CPU industry, due to the fast Zen architecture, which has vastly improved over the last four years.

We have Ryzen CPUs with comparable levels under AMD, just as we have Intel core processors with various tiers. Intel’s Core i5 series is the most popular, while Ryzen’s Ryzen 5 CPUs are the most popular. Now that there are many generations of CPUs to select from, determining which Ryzen CPU is equal to which Intel i5 CPU will be challenging.

I took the effort to create a table that compares comparable Ryzen CPUs from the first generation to the present generation to Intel’s Core i5 CPUs beginning with the 6th generation. The ranking is based on different reviewers’ standards, which can be readily accessed on review sites and YouTube channels (Mostly from Testing Games).

Intel Core i5 6500/7400 versus Ryzen 5 1400

The Ryzen 1400 is the first-generation Ryzen 5 CPU with four cores and eight threads, which is almost comparable to the i5 6500 and 7400 in gaming but outperforms them in multitasking and other activities like rendering and video editing. The Core i5 6500 and 7400 have just four cores and four threads, making them somewhat less powerful than the Ryzen 1400. Many games now use hyperthreading, and the i5 6500/7400’s hyperthreading limitations offer little headroom.

However, based on the different benchmarks, their performance is almost identical. Another point to consider is that the Ryzen 5 1400 is an overclockable chip, while the i5 6500 and 7400 are locked and cannot be overclocked.

The unlocked i5 7600K has a lot of headroom, which means it can be overclocked to improve performance. Of course, this is quicker than the i5 7400, and Ryzen 5 1600 is the processor that can equal it. Despite the fact that the i5 7600K has four cores and four threads, it is comparable to the Ryzen 1600, which has six cores and twelve threads. In most games, they perform equally, but the Ryzen 1600 clearly outperforms the Intel Core i5 in CPU-intensive activities.

Intel Core i5 8400 versus Ryzen 5 2600X

The i5 8400 has six cores and six threads, which is much more than previous-generation Intel Core i5 CPUs, resulting in improved gaming and productivity performance. The Ryzen 5 2600X, which has 6 cores/12 threads and is somewhat behind the i5 8400 but may be a better option owing to the availability of hyperthreading, is the AMD CPU that comes close to it.

The i5 8400 is unfortunately locked, while the Ryzen 2600X still has potential to improve overall performance.

The Ryzen 3600 and i5 9600K are maybe AMD and Intel’s most ferocious rivals. Both were released at approximately $200-$250 and have six cores, with the exception of the Ryzen 3600, which is built on the 7nm technology and has hyperthreading. As a result, the Ryzen 3600 was able to outperform every Intel i5 CPU from the previous generation while also competing with the 9600K at a lower price.

Both are unlocked, and the Ryzen processor takes the lead in certain games while the 9600K shines in others, but generally, they are equal.

The Intel Core i5 10600K is a hyperthreaded CPU with 6 cores and 12 threads, similar to the Ryzen 5 5600X, and has much higher clock rates than prior generation i5s. However, the Ryzen 5 5600X is a breakthrough CPU that is 20% quicker than the Ryzen 3600 and comfortably outperforms the i5 10600K in gaming and productivity.

There is presently no younger brother of the 5600X in the Ryzen 5000 series that can be used as a replacement for the i5 10600K, thus comparing the 5600X to the 10600K makes sense.

The ryzen 5 3500u intel equivalent is a new processor that has been released by AMD. It is comparable to the i5, but it has higher clock speeds and more cores.
