AMD has leaked the specifications of their upcoming Ryzen 7 2700E and Ryzen 5 2600E processors. The new CPUs will be based on a 12nm Zen+ architecture, feature up to 16 cores, and support up to 64 threads.

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700E and Ryzen 5 2600E processors leaked is a leak that has been circulating for a while now. AMD’s newest processors are the Ryzen 7 2700E and the Ryzen 5 2600E. Read more in detail here: ryzen 7 2700.

AMD recently launched their Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 2600X processors, and as you may know, there are some power efficient versions of the Ryzen processors aside from these two. However, according to a recent report from Wccftech, AMD will soon launch the power-efficient versions of the Ryzen 7 2700X and Ryzen 5 2600X, which will be 2700E and 2600E, respectively.

The Ryzen 2700X and 2600X are high-performance CPUs that compete with Intel’s Core i7 and i5 8th Generation processors. Because Intel also offers lower-wattage processors with the “T” designation, AMD took this step to provide customers a second option if they desire a power-efficient machine. The TDP of the Ryzen 2700X and 2600X is 105 Watts and 95 Watts, respectively, whereas the TDP of the 2700E and 2600E is 45 Watts.

As a result, the clock speeds of these new CPUs have been reduced while the rest of the specifications and pricing remain same. The Ryzen 2700X runs at 3.7GHz, while the 2700E runs at 2.7GHz. The 3.6GHz Ryzen 2600X, on the other hand, is downclocked to 3.1GHz in the power-efficient variant. As a result, they are less powerful, but they are an excellent option for people who prefer a system that produces less heat. What kind of boost clocks will these CPUs have? We still don’t know.

AMD’s Ryzen 3 2300X CPU, which runs at 4.3GHz with an air cooling, was recently revealed on a Chinese site. These new CPUs for AMD’s 2nd Generation Ryzen family will provide some stiff competition in the market.
