It’s now up to you to find out what happened to Roland and who this mysterious Firehawk guy is. The first clue will be found on Roland’s second level. You’ll discover his safe, which you may use to keep your additional weapons and equipment, as well as an ECHO recorder from the Firehawk, within. He warns that until you travel to Frostburn Canyon, innocent people will begin to die. You’re not going to let that happen, therefore Frostburn will be your next stop.

The canyon’s entrance is located south of Sanctuary. When you get to the location where Corporal Reiss’s wrecked car was discovered, go east over the ramp bridge and you’ll be dropped down right in front of the door. A gang of Bloodshot bandits will stand in your way, but with the experience you’ll get by following this tutorial, you’ll easily defeat them. After looting the crates by the entrance, go inside.

You’ll find yourself in the midst of a fight between the Firehawk’s troops and the Bloodshot’s as soon as you reach the canyon. Simply follow the path of devastation left behind by the Bloodshots to find out where the Firehawk is holding up. If you follow the path down to the frozen lake, you’ll witness the two sides fighting it out. Before you start shooting at them, let them thin down each other’s ranks. All of the Firehawks’ soldiers are impervious to fire. The easiest way to defeat them is to use non-incendiary weaponry.

After clearing out the frozen lake, look to your right for the next fight sign, which is at a tunnel entrance. As you go down the tunnel, you’ll encounter many more bandits. Spiderants have also entered the fray. Allow the opposing factions to fight it out once again, then begin delivering damage to the goons yourself. When the area is clean, check the containers for valuables and go south to meet up with another gang of Firehawk bandits. In the group, there will be a loot goon. He’s difficult, but if you can take him down, you’ll be rewarded with the beautiful gun chest on his back.

A huge flight of stairs separates the fourth battle sign from the others. Follow them up the cliff and then continue on into the canyon. A smoldering maniac and a fierce crazy will swarm you. To begin dealing with the badass crazy, kill the flaming psycho as soon as possible. Because he’s a tough guy, don’t be scared to withdraw to the bottom of the stairs to deal with him. Return to the top after he’s done, when a second badass crazy will emerge. Proceed in the same manner as you did with the previous badass crazy.

Continue to the fifth battle sign. A spiderant’s nest may be found if you turn right. Take care of the spiderants and keep moving ahead. Up ahead, you’ll discover more bandits. Keep your distance from these band of flaming nomads with lethal flamethrowers. After fighting with them, you’ll arrive to Ashmouth Camp, which is overrun with bandits.

Maintain your position on the pathways and cope with the robbers that patrol them. Prepare to battle since they’ll mainly be nomad pyros. To inflict additional damage to the overgrown psychopaths, use the elemental barrels on the pathway. Below you will find a couple opponents as well as additional elemental barrels. When they get near enough, use the same approach as with the opponents on the walkway and demolish the barrels to inflict additional damage.

Down to the bottom of the camp, take the stairs. As you go closer to the Firehawk’s lair, more foes will emerge. After clearing the bottom level, do some looting and make your way to the Firehawk’s lair’s entrance. Follow Angel’s instructions and be wary of fire traps. Two fierce psychos are also set to make an appearance. Fortunately, they only appear one at a time. Tactically withdraw from them and make quick work of them with your abilities and best weapons.

Push your way through the lair. You’ll finally reach the Firehawks’ lair’s heart. Before you get there, there will be a number of merchants, so be sure to load up on ammunition and health. You’ll notice a group of Bloodshots attempting to take on the Firehawk as you reach the center hub. Approach the battle to deal with both sides.

It turns out you won’t need to defeat the Firehawk. Lilth, our old vault-hunting friend, has been posing as the Firehawk to keep the robbers in check. She’s used up all of her abilities after the little act she pulled to slay the robbers. She’ll need some eridium to recover her strength, and she’ll lead you in the right way. If you return the eridium to her, she’ll be as good as new.

More Bloodshots burst into the lair as soon as she regains her feet. Assist Lilith in dealing with these thugs. From the northern platform, the bandits will rush in. It’ll be a combination of Bloodshot’s many personalities, from marauders to psychos, with a few badasses tossed in for good measure. To deal with the huge amount of bandits, use your skills and remain alert. If you go into too much difficulty, Lilith will come to your rescue with her phase blast.

During the break in the battle, grab some extra ammunition. From the east platform of the lair, more bandits will emerge. Continue to use the same approach as you did in the first round of enemies. Lilith will return to the control room’s center after everyone has died. She’ll be in need of another eridium booster, and she’ll lead you to the purple substance. If you give it to her, she’ll be ready to talk about the next step in rescuing Roland.
