Dark Souls 2 is a very hard game, even when played alone. I’ll admit it can sometimes be easier to play with a friend, especially if you both have the patience for learning the game’s new systems and strategies. With that in mind, I’ve put together this Dark Souls 2 co-op guide to help you level up quickly with a friend that’s up to the challenge. Once you’ve got your friends hooked on this game, you can really enjoy Dark Souls 2 with a new friend, instead of just playing alone.

If you’ve enjoyed playing co-op online in Dark Souls 2, you’ll eventually want to play without a second person. There are several ways to do this, but the most ideal way is to have a co-op partner get their own copy of the game from the Xbox One store, then swap the disk on their console with the disk that they have on your console. This process can be accomplished with the Mass Storage Device menu of the Xbox One.

I’ve always found co-op and multiplayer gaming to be the most fulfilling and satisfying experiences a gamer can have. Encouraging others to play, and then playing with others creates a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. There is something about being able to work in unison with others, whether it is to help them solve puzzles, or simply providing the support needed when something goes wrong..
