As of this writing, there are more than a dozen tournaments and qualifiers happening around the world, with each having a different finish and prize pools. But the main event has a different kind of prestige. It’s a tournament where the $5,000 prize pool is distributed among the top 8 finishers. It’s the Injustice 2 Open Invitational Circuit War of the Gods, and it’s a series of double-elimination tournaments that will take place at Shoryuken in San Francisco , Final Round in Dallas, and  Infinite Fighting Game Championship in Las Vegas, with the final deciding who will be crowned champions in 2018.

Introducing the first ever Injustice 2 closed-invitational tournament! The goal of this tournament is to discuss the strengths and drawbacks of the game. We will have a set amount of $$$ to distribute among the top 4 placers, so the winner of the tournament will not have to worry about the competition for resources being unfair.

When Injustice 2 and War of the Gods debut later this month, gamers may put their talents to the test and compete for a share of $15,000 in prize money.

The War of the Gods tournament circuit is a free-to-enter, open tournament circuit accessible to all Injustice 2 players in the United States and Canada. Fighters who are interested in participating in the event may learn more about it and register here.

The tournament will begin on May 20 at 6:00 p.m. EST with qualifications. Pools will be held on Saturdays over the course of four months, with Top 8 Finals taking place on Tuesdays at 8:00pm EST.

Top players will be awarded prize money and league points each week, which will decide who will compete in the Season Finale on Sept. 17.
