The trophy requires you to hunt down and defeat the Golden Gleam with the Great Maccao weapon type. For this achievement, I recommend using the Goldskin, a Great Sword with an innate Ice element, as there is some nuking power and the ability to break the Gleam’s defense.

The Golden Gleam is a trophy accomplishment that requires you to catch a golden monkey monster, which can be found in the Hot Spring.

I went to the Reach head for the Spring in Area #2 in order to photograph it. It typically emerges on a rock and is distinguished from the rest by its gleaming golden fur. I also suggest that you bring your Ghillie Mantle and leave your pet Palico at the Camp so that it does not frighten the animals away. It may take some time, so keep moving to other areas and returning until it spawns.
