Origin, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, has announced the release of its new line of gaming laptops. The Origin EON15-X is available with Intel’s Core i9 processor and delivers up to 2TB SSD storage.

The EON15-S is interesting since it weighs just 3.4 pounds and has a thickness of 0.94 to 0.75 inch, which allows for the CPU to fit. This Origin’s invention is a testimony to optimum power, with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GPU controlling the 15.6-inch FHD display, a spicing up capability enabling a pair of 2TB memory, room for up to two m.2PCLe SSDs, and 32GB RAM (DDR4). A hybrid mechanical keyboard with per-key RGB backlighting is also included.
The PC also includes a power saving option (at the press of a button) that provides up to 8 hours of battery life for typical daily users, according to Origin.
The EVO17-S is a hybrid of the EVO17 and the EVO
Essentially, the EVO17-S is the bigger brother of the EVO15-S. (released last year). It has a 17.3-inch screen, is 0.98-inch thick, and weighs 6.6 pounds, which is very light for a gaming computer.
The stutter-free UHD G-Sync technology from Nvidia has been made available in 4K (3,840 x 2160) and FHD (1920 x 1080) resolutions, and is powered by the powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. Storage and memory choices are comparable to those of the EON15-S. A new optimization option allows you to install a single 2.5-inch SSD or HDD with up to 4TB of storage. It also has an Intel Core i9-8950HK processor.
With the Core i9’s high clock rates and Origin’s reputation for creating high-end systems, we think the lightweight design will not result in reduced headroom. The NS-15S and NT-17 workstation models have also been released. It’s also worth mentioning that ALL Origin PCs come with free lifetime tech support and labor.

The EON15-S and EVO17-S are available for $1,449 and $1,999, respectively, on the Origin PC website.
Note that the Core i9 isn’t currently available on the EON15-S (just the 6-core i7-8750H), although Origin says it will be shortly.
