FXAA is a post-processing injector that improves the FPS in Skyrim by adding better graphics to the game and gives the game cleaner, sharper image. It is a simple program, which improves the playing experience of Skyrim by applying the FXAA. FXAA is a DirectX/DirectX9 post-processing injector. It has a minimal performance cost and can be enabled/disabled at will.

Skyrim is one of the best PC game ever, and now it is available for consoles as well. But of course, mods is the most important part of the game. This mod is designed to inject post process effects to vanilla Skyrim’s graphics. It increases visuals, adds new effects, and fixes bugs.

The FXAA Post Process Injector, or FPI, is a collection of mods that aim to improve the graphics on Skyrim by applying a post-processing filter to the game’s rendered image. The filters help to reduce blurriness of screen edges, and to smooth out jagged, rough edges and jagged, rough geometry.

[some dudeSkyrim ]’s FXAA Post Process Injector addon. Bloom, sharpen, technicolor, sepia, tonemap, vignette, and more post processing effects are available to enhance your visuals. This fantastic patch enhances the realism of Skyrim to new heights!

How to alter the settings:

Changing shader parameters is a breeze. Open injFX Settings.h in a text editor and carefully modify the settings.

A short description of what each setting does is located next to it. You may play about with the values until you find something you like.

If you wish to modify a setting, you don’t have to restart the game. Saving the file while alt-tabbing or minimizing/maximizing the game will reveal the results. (Only full screen)

Download:

SkyrimNexus is a website where you can download Skyrim.

Installation:

Automatic:

Start the installation and choose the parameters you want. Make sure you double-check the location of the extracted files. It should extract the game executable to Skyrim’s main directory (TESV.exe).

Manual:

Combine the contents of one of the files with the game executable in your main Skyrim directory. Usually:

Program Files (C:Program Files) Steamsteamappscommonskyrim

OR

Program Files (C:Program Files) (x86) Steamsteamappscommonskyrim

Uninstallation:

Uninstall FXAA Post-Process Injector from the list of applications in your Control Panel or from the uninstaller in your Skyrim directory if you used the installer. Simply remove the files if you manually extracted them. There is a screenshot in the Images page if you don’t sure which files belong to the mod.

Compatibility

Both ATI and Nvidia graphics cards are supported.

Troubleshooting:

Make sure you have the most recent version of DirectX installed. Link via mirrors.

If you’re having problems with crashes, try running the Skyrim executable (TESV.exe) as administrator.

(Right click TESV.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Check “Run this program as administrator.”)

Disable any on-screen display applications and monitoring tools like Fraps, ATI Tray Tools, MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z, XFire, and so on.

Not connected to this patch, but a workaround for a frequent source of crashes: utilize the Control panel to reach the Sound menu. Right-click on speakers in the playing tab and choose properties. On the new screen, go to the advanced tab and choose 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) from the drop down option.

If you can’t figure out what’s causing your crashing/performance issues, here’s a thorough list of problems and remedies that aren’t connected to this mod.

If you’re having trouble with slow FPS or mouse latency, turn off v-sync.

Certain graphics changes in SkyrimPrefs.ini may cause instability and crashes.

The blurry UI text is an unavoidable side effect of the mod. Because post-processing impacts the whole picture, it is impossible to exclude the user interface.
