I just finished the demo for Nier Automata. It is, at the very least, an incredible experience. The atmosphere is excellent, the music is fantastic, the gameplay is top notch, the story is alright, the graphics are excellent, the world is very vivid, and the story is very interesting. The game is very well done.

“NieR Automata” is an action-packed game that tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2. This is a game that is hard to put down and very difficult to understand. It is full of twists and turns, and the more you play, the more you want to play. The NieR Automata Demo is a perfect introduction to the game, and will give you a taste of what you can expect from the full version of the game and its story.

The NieR:Automata Demo is a work-in-progress demo that’s currently available on Steam for PC. The demo’s not just an HD remaster of the base game with the voiced-over cutscenes, or an easy way to get a taste of the game in-between the time the full game releases on PS4 next month. The demo offers a taste of NieR:Automata’s combat, story, and music, but the real meat is yet to come. You’ll be able to experience the full game’s final story, complete with multiple endings.

A sequel I never expected to see. When NieR Automata was revealed, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The original NieR game was my first exposure to Yoko Taro’s madness, and boy does it take you on a wild trip. Drakengard 3 was my second excursion, and although it didn’t have the greatest or most effective gameplay, it was still enjoyable. The tale was enjoyable to read. After having completed the NieR Automata demo. The missing component has finally been found. Excellent gameplay.

NieR Automata brings together some of my favorite elements. Platinum Games’ action game polish and NieR’s craziness (lore, character design, soundtrack). While the original NieR had good gameplay, it was a little too easy. Melee strikes will tank you through the majority of projectiles, and your block will effectively block nearly every attack the game has to offer. Plus, your movement was much too fluid for the sluggish lumbering foes. Now that Platinum Games is in charge of NieR Automata’s development, it seems like a real action game. If you’re not paying attention, your movement and attack speed will seem amazing, but you won’t be an unstoppable killing machine. Instead than just swinging the sword and blocking 3-4 shots, you now have to strike the bullets with your sword. Your Pod, which essentially replaces Grimoire Weiss, works as a ranged attack, but firing it does not obstruct any of your other motions, allowing you to fire and maintain shooting while performing all of your melee attacks, leaping, evading, and so on.

You may lock onto enemy targets on the easy and regular settings, which will aim your pod as you wreak havoc on everything else. The lock-on feature is removed on higher difficulties, making it a pseudo third-person shooter where you must aim with the right stick while annihilating other opponents. And, like in previous Platinum action games, you may swap between various weapon types and combinations in the middle of a string to extend your combos. At the higher levels, you’ll essentially be playing Twister with your fingers on the controller, which is fantastic in classic Platinum Games flair.

If you haven’t yet played the NieR Automata demo, I strongly advise you to do so. If you like the original NieR, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, or Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, you’ll enjoy this demo, which has a little bit of everything.
