The Distress Signal is a quest in the game “The Outer Worlds”. It is available in the game, unlocked at level 25. It is explained in the game on planet Orlandes, and is the first major quest in the game. Once you have obtained the signal, the planet you are on is going to be consumed by a Distress Signal. The distress signal allows you to receive distress calls from passing ships, and it has a quest attached to it. The Distress Signal is not available on every planet you visit. It will only be active in the location you first encounter the Distress Signal while you are on that planet. Once you have encountered the distress signal on a planet, you can not get it on that planet again.
