Action role-playing game Thymesia is in development for PC. This may sound like a familiar story: an indie game arrives on an indie platform, which in turn is then picked up by a major publishing house. But Thymesia’s developer, Parasite Inc, isn’t content to simply release the game onto Steam and move on. Instead, they’re going the extra mile by bringing Thymesia to console. Why? Because while PC games are often free to play, console games are often not.

Developed by a small group of University of Alberta students, Thymesia looks like a promising, action-RPG adventure game in the works. Thymesia has been in development for years, some of it funded by a crowdfunding campaign. It’s supposed to be a spiritual successor to the popular role playing game, Darklands.

Thymesia is an upcoming action RPG from Italian dev Bit Sharp. The game has been in development for quite some time, but now is the time when the developers want to finally release a trailer and announce a release date. The game will be released this year for Windows PC, and follows the story of a girl who is trying to stop an invasion of monsters. Bit Sharp has created a two-dimensional side-scroller for the game, but they’re still working on the last minute stuff.

OverBorder, a Taiwan-based independent developer, is presently working on Thymesia, an action RPG that will be released on PC this year if you like games like Dark Souls, Mortal Shell, or even Bloodborne.
