Nvidia has unveiled a new generation of graphics cards, the Turing TU102-100. The company is aiming for a release in Q3 2018 and promises to improve performance by up to 50% on some games.

Nvidia has announced a new graphics card that will be released in the future. The nvidia ampere is still in development, but it is predicted to be an upgrade to the Volta architecture.

According to a report, Nvidia is working on next-generation graphics cards based on the Ampere architecture. Nvidia launched its Volta graphics card, dubbed Tesla V100, last year, which is recognized as the most powerful data center graphics card for computing. However, that architecture was not included in the “Gaming” category, and there is no official word on whether or not it would be utilized in gaming GPUs.

However, Nvidia has developed a new architecture for gaming graphics cards called “Ampere.” It was also given the code name “Turing” by Reuters. The Ampere architecture will be used in the latest generation Nvidia 2000 series graphics cards, and the first two GPUs expected to be revealed and launched are the GTX 2080 and GTX 2070, though these names are based on Nvidia’s nomenclature for naming its graphics cards, and I haven’t heard any official report from Nvidia. According to reports, these cards will be unveiled in March and will be available for purchase on April 12th.

The Ampere architecture will replace Pascal’s GP102 chip with the GA104, which will be the fastest processor available for graphics cards. As the present trend of graphics card scarcity continues, it is speculated that Nvidia may produce distinct graphics cards for miners and gamers, based on the same architecture but tweaked somewhat. Nvidia’s primary emphasis, as recently reported in the press, was to concentrate more on gamers than miners, but there is no question that miners have benefited them much, as their income grew by 34% in the first quarter of last year alone.

So, why wouldn’t Nvidia continue to innovate in the mining industry? Yes, they will continue to work in this area as well, but gaming is also one of their top priorities, which has helped the business achieve tremendous success over the years, and I am confident that they are working hard to make gaming GPUs accessible to gamers.
