The Xbox One has five backwards compatible games, but it seems Xbox One players are still hungry for more. If you don’t already own an Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Xbox One X, now’s a great time to pick one up. With backwards compatibility, you can play your favourite Xbox games on your Xbox One, and in the near-future, you’ll be able to play them on your Xbox Scarlett as well. Xbox One backward compatibility has been a big success, and it’ll be even better moving forward. Last year, backward compatibility was launched with Major Nelson describing it as “the biggest step we’ve ever taken to deliver on our promise to provide the best gaming and entertainment experience.” Microsoft has promised to continue to bring more

For years, Xbox fans have been hoping and praying that Microsoft would one day release backwards compatibility for its Xbox 360 games. Well, the day had finally come, and this morning Microsoft announced that popular titles like “Fable Anniversary”, “Forza Horizon”, and “Halo: Combat Evolved” would be added to the Xbox One’s library, as soon as the Xbox 360 version of said games were compatible with Xbox One.

Microsoft officially announced the Xbox One’s first backward compatible games, and according to the company, these games will now work on the console without needing to be downloaded again. This marks the first time that the Xbox One will have been able to play these games in the past.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Double Agent on Xbox One have been included to Microsoft’s backwards compatible gaming list.

Blacklist was one of the most popular games in its year of release, and it is still the most current installment of one of the most well-known gaming series, which began in 2013. The game picks up after the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction, giving Sam Fisher a new set of abilities and gears. Back then, it was one of the most enjoyable stealth games I had ever played.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent, on the other hand, was published in 2006 and is the first game in the series to be released on the Xbox 360. It features Sam Fisher for the first time. Both titles have just been added to Microsoft’s backward compatibility list, which means that if you possess any digital versions of these games, they will appear in your Xbox One Ready to Download section.

With the addition of these two games, Xbox currently has around 400 Xbox 360 games and approximately 30 original Xbox One games. Check out this site for additional information on the backward compatible game list.
