Ryzen has been around the block for awhile now, and we’re now getting some updated models. The Ryzen 7 2700X is a hexa-core processor that’s based on the first generation of Ryzen CPUs. This “Raven Ridge” design uses the same underlying design as the first generation of Ryzen CPUs. The XFR (extended frequency range) technology is still supported, and it will run at 3.7GHz, 3.9GHz, and 4.2GHz for the base, boost, and XFR frequency, respectively.

The Ryzen 7 2700x is a brand new processor released by AMD. The processor is designed for gaming and heavy multi-tasking. The processors are made on the new Zen+ architecture and therefore offer significant performance improvements over previous Ryzen processors. The Ryzen 7 2700x offers a 3.7 GHz base clock speed and an impressive 4.3 GHz boost clock speed. The processor also features 8 MB L3 cache and a TDP of 95W. The chip is built on the GlobalFoundries’ 14 nm process and is manufactured using FinFET transistors. The new X470 chipset and AMD Ryzen 7 2700X is the most powerful desktop processor to date.

Motherboards these days are like sports cars; they come in all shapes and sizes, with all different features, and with all kinds of limitations. If you’re looking for a high-end motherboard for Ryzen 7 2700X, then consider the following: First, a motherboard that supports as many features as possible, so you can improve your setup. Second, a motherboard that comes with a good BIOS that you can update to the latest version, so you can benefit from highly improved stability and performance. Third, a motherboard that comes with a good UEFI that you can update to the latest version, so you can benefit from improved stability and performance. Fourth, a motherboard that comes with a good UEFI that you can update to

AMD’s Ryzen 7 2700X CPU is a powerhouse that can push any game to its limits with a high-end graphics card like the RTX 2080 or 2080 Ti. This is what makes it an excellent option for a high-end gaming system with no bottlenecking issues.

The previous version 1700X chip, which I still possess, didn’t have as strong single core performance, but the 2nd generation 2700X chip is so powerful that it directly competes with the i7 8700K processor in gaming and outperforms it in productivity. It is a highly competent processor for performing many jobs at the same time due to its strong specifications such as 8 Cores and 16 Threads.

This is why choosing a decent motherboard for this CPU is crucial, since you won’t be able to take use of the additional power if you can’t overclock it to its maximum capacity. Although it is not essential to purchase a high-end motherboard for it, there are certain budget and mid-range boards that will allow you to get about 90-95 percent performance when compared to extremely high-end motherboards.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

The following is a short selection of motherboards that I suggest for this monster CPU, from which you may choose one based on your budget and needs.

MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is a gaming laptop by MSI.

MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon

The MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is a strong candidate for the best X470 motherboards list, but I didn’t include it in that article for a variety of reasons that you can read about today. However, I prefer this board over the Gaming Plus version for Ryzen 2700X since it has a number of useful features that will assist you in completing your ideal build. Q-LEDs for debugging, stronger heatsinks on the VRM, and RGB lighting for a fantastic appearance are all included on this board.

A 4+2 power phase VRM is used on the board, with doublers used to produce 8+2 power phases. Although four power phases may not be the greatest choice for the Ryzen 2700X, increasing them will allow for greater overclocking results without spending a lot of money. Because the heatsinks on these power phases are adequate, you won’t have to worry about overheating until you push them to their limits.

This is the motherboard I would suggest for a high-end gaming build if you have already spent a lot of money on the CPU, RAM, and GPU and don’t have enough money to spend on a very high-end motherboard. It will allow you to overclock the system and update it as you see fit.

It has a total of 6 Fan headers for cooling, including CPU and AIO connectors, which will enable you to effortlessly cool your whole system, and their positioning is done all over the PCB for simple connection. There are 6 SATA connections and 2 M connectors for storage. There are two slots for fast storage devices, one of which has an aluminum heatsink for cooler operation. If you want to obtain the greatest performance for your money, this board should be your first priority for your build.

Gaming ASUS ROG Strix X470-F

ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming

The Asus Rog Strix X470-F Gaming is a strong rival to the MSI Gaming Carbon, but it has a superior VRM arrangement, with two of the VCore’s power phases located at the top, where they can be cooled more effectively with those large heatsinks. Once again, this is a 4+2 power phase motherboard with doublers for improved overclocking stability. Even though the Ryzen 2700X is considered a high-end Gaming CPU, this motherboard is under $200 and therefore an excellent option for any mid to high-end Gaming setup.

The heatsink on the first M.2 slot from the south bridge is extended to make it appear sick, while the second M.2 slot is located far away from the PCI slots to make installation of graphics cards and SSDs easier. It doesn’t have the 8+8 pin power CPU connectors that the Pro Carbon has, and there are no onboard troubleshooting LEDs to make things simpler. This is one of the reasons it is less expensive, but other advantages, such as a large number of fan headers for excellent cooling, compensate for its shortcomings.

2x Fan headers at the top, 1 x Fan header at the top right, 2x Fan headers in the center with an RGB header, and 2x Fan headers at the bottom with 2 additional Addressable RGB headers comprise the board. This motherboard can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM that has been overclocked to 3600MHz. This is a fantastic motherboard for any Ryzen CPU, but especially the Ryzen 2700X if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck. However, if you don’t want to sacrifice on performance in any way, the following motherboard is one of the finest on the market for this powerful CPU.

Wi-Fi ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero

ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero Wi-Fi

The Hero series motherboards, once again from Asus, are designed especially for overclocking and include rock-solid VRMs. This board includes 12 power phases with doublers for improved overclocking and a well-designed power phase arrangement to efficiently dissipate heat. To balance things out, there are six stages at the top and six on the sides.

This board comes with everything you’ll need for advanced overclocking and quick troubleshooting if you run into any issues. When one of the bios on the board fails, you may switch to the other to reboot the machine into the operating system. It includes inbuilt troubleshooting tools that allow you to quickly read out potential reasons without having to open up the whole chassis.

The LCD display at the top is crucial for troubleshooting, and the Power and Reset buttons underneath it make it simple to restart your computer. CLEAR CMOS and BIOS switching buttons are located on the I/O panel and are easier to reach than the PCB itself. There are also many USB 3.1 connections on the rear, allowing you to connect a large number of devices at once.

The price of this motherboard is around $300, which is quite reasonable given the features it offers. It is the greatest choice for the Ryzen 2700X, regardless of looks, onboard features, overclocking, or cooling, and you should absolutely buy it if you don’t have a price constraint.

Ryzen 7 2700X is one of the most popular AMD processors. And that’s not because it just has 8 cores or what, it’s because it has great performance for gaming and overclocking. However, AMD has not released any motherboards for Ryzen. That means you need to buy a motherboard if you are planning to build your own Ryzen rig. And it’s really hard to find a good one..
