Braccus Rex is the final boss of the game, the antagonist of the game, or any title of a similar nature. These are the names we use when referring to the final boss of a game. Our tendency to name bosses according to the name of the game or game series they belong to is something that can be quite annoying. In this case we will stick to calling Braccus Rex by its name, Braccus Rex.

As with the previous Divinity games, you can take advantage of the magic Gauntlet to make your character even more powerful. And you will need that power to defeat Braccus Rex, the Final Boss of the game. During the fight you will be able to use the Gauntlet to enhance your character’s abilities.

The following guide will contain some spoilers for Divinity: Original Sin II, but I won’t go into too much detail. When I first started playing the game I thought it would be a cakewalk, that I would be able to beat Braccus Rex in 10 minutes or so. Boy was I wrong. This boss was more difficult than I anticipated. So, with that said, here is a guide to defeat Braccus Rex in Divinity: Original Sin II.

To say the least, Divinity: Original Sin II is difficult. The last boss battle isn’t any different.

Many gamers have expressed dissatisfaction with the final fight, saying that it is too hard to manage. It can, however, be defeated. You will, however, have to use these strategies.

There are spoilers ahead.

There will be spoilers for Divinity: Original Sin II’s final mission in the following sections. Proceed with care.

Choosing between Sacrificing Your Source and Attacking the Divine

Once you’ve completed the last mission, “End Times,” you’ll be faced with a decision. It’s critical to choose the correct route to reduce the difficulty of the game’s final battle.

When you get to the end of the mission, you’ll find out that Lucian the Divine has been alive the whole time. Dallis will also disclose that she is an Eternal in the future. Worse, Braccus Rex seems to be under her command.

You’ll have to make a decision at some point. You may hand up your source, side with Lucian and Dallis in the process. You may also refuse Lucian’s desires.

You will assault both Lucian and Dallis if you refuse Lucian’s desires. Braccus Rex, on the other hand, will soon show that he is no longer under Dallis’ control and will attack the whole party.

You may also choose to give up control of your source. Braccus Rex will disclose his free agency and then assault the party before your source is stolen from you.

There is a significant difference between these two options. If you opt to surrender your source, Lucian and Dallis will battle with you against Braccus Rex. Alternatively, you and your companions will be forced to battle Lucian, Dallis, and Braccus Rex all at the same time.

As a result, if you are frightened by the last boss battle, it is strongly recommended to you surrender your source. After all, this boss battle is quickly becoming known for its toughness. It can, however, be defeated.

How to Win the Final Boss Fight in “End Times”

Whether you side with Lucian and Dallis or confront the living divine and his Eternal right hand in the final boss battle, the approach to prevail will be essentially the same. To make the battle go more smoothly, you’ll need to use four fundamental strategies.

1. Make the most of every opportunity

This may seem to be a low-cost strategy, yet it works. Random number generation will play a big role in this battle (RNG). It makes a big difference whether an assault hits you or misses.

If you’re having trouble with the boss battle, you should try this strategy.

Take your turn as usual when the fight starts. Save the game if a turn goes well for you. This will save you from having to repeat the boss battle every time you fail. It will be tiresome, but this strategy may be the difference between hours of failed boss battle attempts and hours of success.

2. Make a Fire-Resistant Stockpile

During this battle, your squad will be bombarded with a seemingly unending onslaught of fire spells. Receive some time to load up on fire resistance potions if you want to limit the damage you take during the fight.

Healing potions and resurrection scrolls are, of course, essential. The fire resistance scrolls, on the other hand, are likely to provide you with the last battling edge you’ll need.

3. Provide Source Spells to Your Party

Malady and maybe some of your other friends will give you a huge boost just before you learn that Lucian the Divine is still alive. The cost of your source spells will be reduced by this boost, possibly to 0 source points each casting.

As a result, you’ll want to prepare as many source-powered spells as possible before facing this monster. The spells that need a source to cast are typically the most potent, giving you and your squad significant advantages.

4. Concentrate on Braccus Rex

This is by far the most crucial strategy. You must devote all of your resources on defeating Braccus Rex.

When you destroy Braccus Rex, all of his minions will perish with him. As a result, attacking his stooges before dealing with him directly is futile.

At the very least, attempt to whittle down his minions’ magical armor so you may seduce them. Having more friends on the battlefield will assist in deflecting opposing fire away from your group.

Nonetheless, you should concentrate most of your efforts on Braccus Rex himself.
