The HD texture pack for Skyrim is an overhaul mod that gives the game a new level of detail, so that you can see the beauty of the original game in a new light.

I have been a modder all my life and I have always been fascinated with Skyrim. In particular, I love the textures that Bethesda has done and put into every game of theirs. I have decided to turn Skyrim into a high resolution texture mod. I have also been working on a mod to alter the game to make it more immersive, while keeping the original feel of the game.

The official HD textures pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out, and it’s a big one. The master modder himself, TES5Edit, has rendered thousands of hours of work to bring Skyrim to life in HD. It’s a massive mod, and it’s a mod many people have been waiting for.

NebuLa’s Skyrim HD 2k Textures mod. (High Resolution Textures for Skyrim.)

This Mod replaces the previous Low-Resolution textures with High-Resolution textures that are 4x to 8x greater in resolution than the originals.

They are created entirely from scratch, rather than being upsampled and polished. Textures have been changed: – Windhelm – Whiterun – Mountains – Cliffs – Natural Elements – Tundra Rocks (coming soon) Download:

SkyrimNexus is a website where you can download Skyrim.

FilePlanet offers a free download. Commonly Asked Questions (FAQs): Q: How do I put this together? A: To begin, go to skyrimnexus.com and download the Mod Manager. Alternatively, you may manually install them: Copy the “textures” folder into “skyrim/data” after extracting the package. Finished! Q: How can I get rid of this? A: Simply remove the “texture” folder from the “skyrim/data” directory. Q: Why do the mountains seem to be made of sandpaper? A: Because the Update was not installed. Q: Why does my game fail without displaying an error message? A: Use the LAA-Mod to resolve the CTDs (Crash To Desktop). It’s available for download at http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=202. Q: I’ve had the LAA-Mod loaded for a while now, but I’m still getting crashes? A: Install it once again! The LAA-Mod will not be activated when Bethesda publishes small updates that replace the Game-Executable. Q: Does this mod significantly reduce my FPS? A: It depends on the machine you’re using. Version 1.0.2 merely reduces your frame rate by 1-3 frames per second. Depending on a variety of variables, Version 1.1 will use a few extra frames per second. Try the LITE version if your frame rate is very poor. Only the most apparent textures are included. ~NebuLa.
