There’s a moment in The Outer Worlds when you’re tasked with recruiting Ellie to join your crew. This is a crucial part of your journey in the game, but it’s also one of the worst NPC interactions the game has to offer. Luckily, there is a guide on how to recruit Ellie, and how to avoid the possibility of losing her forever.
The Worst Contact is yet another optional side quest; however, unlike the most of them, this one is really a companion side quest.
You may add Ellie to your squad here. However, you must first be in GroundBreaker in order to begin the task. When you arrive, go to the Medical Centre and look for a ginger-haired lady who is fighting with a Doctor about something.
Ellie is the one who is debating with the Doctor. They don’t seem to want her to visit her buddy, Jessie Doyle. As a result, it is up to us to locate her and talk with her.
To avoid being discovered, be sure to pick up the adjacent ID Cartridge before entering the Restricted Area. We may now safely visit Jessie Doyle with the ID in hand.
Although Jessie does not seem to be guilty of anything, she does have problems that must be resolved in order to finish this quest and get Ellie as a new companion.
Ellie’s major areas of expertise are:
- Medical Support Bonus: (+10 Medical),
- First Responder: (Medical Inhaler grants a 20% increase in the length of time it takes to heal.)
- CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Recover 25 percent Health when fatally wounded.)
The main problem with Ellie is that she’s constantly breaking contact with you. Every jump, every time you tell her to stop or stop running, she will jump into an area that you can’t get to.
