Here is a list of all the weapons, armor, and items in the Witcher 2. There is no “latest” numbers, as some items may have been nerfed, buffed, or otherwise changed in some way. As of the time of this writing, the items are listed below as they are found in the game. There are items that are missing, which may still be added by the developers for balance purposes.

Weapons, Armor, and Items (Chapter 3)

Chapter 3 has a plethora of endgame bonuses. Unlike Chapter 2, Geralt always begins Chapter 3 in the same place, but his route from there varies. A beautiful silver sword awaits you immediately at the start, while another (complete with a great Geralt speech) is a mission prize available less than an hour in.

Because they involve completing quests and/or collecting things from earlier chapters, three items (a silver sword, a steel sword, and a suit of armor) receive their own section at the conclusion of the guide. The only issue is that your steel sword choices may be restricted depending on how you got here. For the purpose of completeness, I’ll mention a few, but do yourself a favor and buy Caerme (see Quest and Item Help section).

Deithwen is a character in the game Deithwen (Silver Sword)

  • Injuries: 44-48
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • Against big monsters, you get a bonus of 25% damage.
  • Gargoyle damage is increased by 25%.
  • At the start of the chapter, it was discovered in the valley opposite Order Camp.

Comments:

  • Here, the developers offer us a wonderful respite. Geralt has a discussion shortly after the chapter starts, and he ends himself confronting the Order camp. Turn around and go down a small, straight valley in the other direction. In a clearing at the valley’s end, the sword lies on a mound of bones.
  • Unfortunately, two Arachas attack you in the valley.
  • While not the greatest statistically, owing to its damage enhancements, this may be the best silver sword for Chapter 3.

Sword of Novigradan

  • 36-40% damage
  • 2 Rune Slots
  • Block has a +50 damage reduction.
  • During battle, vigor regenerates at a rate of 14%.
  • Purchased (1.3k orens) from both Loc Muine weapons dealers.

Comments:

  • For those who miss Caerme’s ingredients, this is one of a few alternatives.
  • Weapons with vigor regen are uncommon, yet they’re useful for magicians.
  • Short Elven Sihil is somewhat more powerful than many other similar swords available from merchants, but it lacks vigor replenishment.

Deithwen’s Ceremonial Sword (Steel Sword)

  • 36-45 million dollars in damages
  • Slots for Runes: 1
  • Bleeding by 26%
  • Craftable; purchase the schematic from a circus vendor in the Amphitheatre area.

Comments:

  • At the very least, this is an improvement over the Act 2 steel swords.
  • To make, you’ll need an Archanas armor. You’ve probably killed a few by now, and they’re a frequent drop, but it’s conceivable you haven’t (and they weigh 2 pounds)
  • The fact that there is just one rune space is a major drawback, but at least it looks nice.

Deith, Addan

  • What is the extent of the damage?
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • 38 percent bleeding, 2% instant death
  • Wraiths take 4% more damage.
  • adrenaline +2 adrenaline +2 ad Powered by Hit
  • Obtainable: Found in a chest when completing the Gargoyle Contract sidequest.

Comments:

  • In terms of stats, she’s somewhat better than Deithwen.
  • Deithwen, on the other hand, may be superior in Chapter 3 owing to its benefits versus certain opponent kinds.
  • It’s worth noting that the adrenaline generation boost only kicks in once you’ve completed Combat Acumen.
  • The four runes usually stand for Sky (square with slash), Animal (snake-like S symbol), Time (hourglass), and Art or Music (hourglass) (looks like a harp). The order may be determined by looking at a notice on a nearby stand. The identities of the runes are revealed in four volumes sold by the Loc Muine artisan.
  • When you acquire this, Geralt does a really amazing speech.

Caerme

  • 50-58 million dollars in damages
  • 2 Rune Slots
  • +2 to Regeneration of Vitality
  • +4 to the duration of Blade Oil
  • Instant Kill 4 percent
  • The schematic quest prize from the Gargoyle Contract sidequest may be crafted.

Comments:

  • Missable items from Chapters 1 and 2 are required; check the ‘Quest and Item Help’ section for further information.
  • In a nutshell, you’ll need a magical document obtained via the Gargoyle Contract sidequest, as well as Queen endrega Pheromones, Nekker Warrior Blood, Necrophage Skin, and a Harpy’s Egg or Rotfiend Tongue. The first two of them are absent from Chapter 3.
  • The greatest steel sword in the game (but Personnel of the Operator is a close second).

Zerrikanterment

  • 45-50% of the damage
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • 35 percent bleeding, 1% instant death
  • Wraiths, Large Monsters, Gargoyles, Insectoids, and Necrophages take 4% more damage.
  • Sign Damage: +10
  • Craftable, using a schematic available from a craftsman in Loc Muine; Dragon Scale is required.

If you’re a mage and don’t have the dragon scale, the amphitheater merchant offers a Superb Blue Meteorite sword diagram, which also has +10 Sign Damage.

  • Due to the sign damage boost and stats, the best silver sword for mage builds.
  • The Dragon Scale may be tough to acquire depending on the route you choose. See the ‘Quest and Item Help’ section for further information.
  • In a nutshell, if you’re following Roche’s route, you’ll need to have completed the ‘Little Sisters’ quest in Act 2 in order to discover a collection of magical notes, which will activate the ‘From a Bygone Era’ quest. The Operator must then be killed at the conclusion of Act 3 to complete the objective.
  • You’ll also need 16x Silver Ore and 3x Yellow Meteorite Ore, so stock up ahead of time.
  • Diagram for Yellow Meteorite Ore offered by amphitheatre trader, just in case

Vran Sword is a long-forgotten sword (Steel Sword)

  • 50-55 % damage
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • Freeze for 20 minutes
  • +1 Vitality Regeneration, +2 Vigor
  • Instant Kill 2 percent
  • Locked Safe in the Kaedwani camp’s quarters of a particular Gargamel-like sorceror

Comments:

  • Only Roche’s route; at a particular point in the narrative, you must choose whether or not to assist Roche.
  • – The game’s best steel sword. In comparison to Caerme, he gives up a few points in max damage in exchange for the strong Freeze effect, Vigor boost, and an additional rune slot.
  • With three Fire Runes, this weapon does more damage than upgraded Caerme and is just as effective for Critical Effects builds as the Operator’s Staff. This is incredible.

Operator’s Staff

  • 40-60% damage
  • NONE of the rune slots are available.
  • Eighty percent incinerate, ten percent freeze, and four percent stun.
  • Looted from an NPC at the conclusion of the From a Bygone Era sidequest.

Comments:

  • For +crit builds, Caerme may be preferable.
  • Quick attacks no longer ‘home in’ on opponents when wielding this weapon.
  • The staff, on the other hand, strikes in a broad arc, making it quite powerful with Whirl.
  • Mage builds may enjoy this for its aesthetics, since it is one of the few non-sword weapons worth employing.

Ysgith’s Armor

  • +26 Damage Reduction
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • Magic Damage is decreased by 50%.
  • +60% Bleed, Poison, and Incinerate Resistance
  • In combat, vigor regenerates at a rate of 15%.
  • +1 Vigor
  • Purchased from a mage merchant/craftsman in Loc Muine.

Comments:

  • Due to the Vigor benefits, this is the best armor in the game for mage builds.
  • For everyone else, it’s almost as good as Varn Armor is a kind of armor used by Varns, and it’s a piece of cake to get.
  • Spikes are noticeable; some people may enjoy the appearance, while others may not.

Varn Armor

  • +30 Damage Reduction
  • 3 Rune Slots
  • 70% Bleed, Poison, and Incinerate Resistance
  • Craftable, schematic in the LOCKED box in the sewers of Loc Muine

Comments:

  • Non-mage armor is the best in the game.
  • The schematic is kept in a locked box, and the key may be acquired by completing the Mystic River quest in Chapters 1 and 2. See the ‘Quest and Item Help’ section for further information.
  • Robust Cloth and Studded Leather are also required for crafting (see the ‘Crafting’ section).

Accessory for Elder Blood (Gloves, Boots, Trousers)

  • Craftable; schematics obtained through the Gargoyle Contract sidequest.

Comments:

  • I won’t mention stats since they’re an improvement over what you’ve received so far, but they’re still little compared to the benefits from chest parts.

  • Runes and Reinforcements Guide for Witcher Weapons, Armor, and Items
