The difficult gothic roguelike turn-based RPG game Darkest Dungeon, created and distributed by Red Hook Studios, is on the psychological strains of adventure. As a player, you’ll be tasked with recruiting, training, and leading a band of bumbling heroes in the face of unspeakable atrocities, stress, hunger, illness, and the looming darkness. We just learned that the devs have set the release date for their next DLC for the game, which is June 19th, 2018.
The Color of Madness is the title of the forthcoming DLC, which starts with an Alien life-filled comet crashing onto the Miller’s farm on the outskirts of the Hamlet. The residents in the region who had seen the comet’s approach had gone blind, and no one had heard anything from the farm in almost 14 days.
Along with the tragic tale, the DLC introduces The Farmstead, a new area in the game. And the farm’s occupants herald the coming of a new enemy group, as well as a new game mode, Endless Quest, which is based on waves. You’ll also encounter formidable foes along the way, including The Miller, an extraterrestrial monster, as well as the comet itself, and other locals who have been transformed into hideous creatures that will serve as your adversaries. The Color of Madness also adds four new District buildings, as well as four new collectible Curios and a new Jeweler who now trades for comet shards instead of money.
