Final Fantasy XIV Blacksmithing Materials & Ingredients List

In the latest Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, crafting has been a very popular method of obtaining new and unique weapons and armor. Since I’m a complete Final Fantasy fanatic, I decided to give it a go myself. In this article, I will be covering all of the materials that are needed to make a Blacksmithing weapon or armor in Final Fantasy XIV, as well as the recipe for each piece.

I’ve always been a player of MMORPGs. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft since the first release and have never really played anything else. However, since that time, I have noticed that the development of the game has slowed.

Final Fantasy XIV Blacksmithing is a process that can be easy or hard and can be done solo or with a group of friends. With the right materials in hand, you can have the most powerful weapon in the world. However, the same weapons require many materials to craft, and each of them can only be made once. With that in mind, you will find that the materials themselves are not particularly special.

mstieler has compiled a comprehensive list of FFXIV materials and components required for all Blacksmith trades.

Some of the recipes call for earlier-crafted stuff (Darksteel Rivets, which use Darksteel Nuggets, which use Darksteel Ore); unless I seriously screwed something up, all of that should be accounted for. Top of the list shows how many of the various ingredients will be needed to do all this (so you can get however many Ingots, Rivets, Plates & etc. you’ll need in total when you get to them).

Some of the materials below are known to be craftable by other classes. If someone wants to list them and their prices, that’d be great; otherwise, after I finish the rest of the lists, I’ll change them to the component components of the other class craftables (instead of Leather, it’ll be 1 Earth Shard and 1 Animal Skin, and so on).

And, hey, if anybody knows of anyone else who has already done this, please let me know. There’s no reason for me to continue with this if it’s already out there someplace.
