The nuc computer is a new Intel NUC 12 mini PC that will feature Alder Lake CPUs.
Many things are coming this year and in the years ahead, including the year 2022. We’ve seen a slew of leaks revealing details about future devices from various OEMs. We’re also anticipating the release of the newest edition of Windows OS this year.
Another piece of information was released earlier today by Twitter user 9550pro, who found leaked information from a slide on Weibo forums and posted it on Twitter. The NUC 12 Enthusiast versions will include Alder Lake i5 and i7 CPUs, according to the presentation.
It’s also possible that Intel may release i9 Alder Lake processors later this year. As a result, we may anticipate the NUCs to be released early next year, about 6-7 months after the NUC 11.
The information on the slide also offers us a sneak look at the NUCs that will be released in the near future. The Alder Lake versions are expected to have Intel’s DG2 (Xe-HPG) gaming GPUs, as well as 2x M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 and 1x M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 slots for Intel’s Optane Memory M10 and H10 modules. It will have a 2.5 Gb NIC and an AX 411 Wi-Fi 6E module with Bluetooth 5.2 for connection.
The NUC 12 will, however, only accept 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory. Thunderbolt 4 connections with 5V/9V rapid phone charging profiles, 6x USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 plus 2x USB 2.0 connectors, line-in and headset audio jacks, and an SD card reader with SDXC and UHS-II compliance are all included in the I/O.
