Nvidia has announced that they will stop the production of their GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. This is an unfortunate turn of events for the gaming community, as this card was one of the best options available to gamers.

Nvidia has announced that they will be stopping the production of their GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. Read more in detail here: nvidia drivers.

Since the launch of the RTX series GPUs, there have been numerous controversies surrounding the RTX GPUs, with several users reporting that they are “dying” and Nvidia attempting to force the RTX GPUs down consumers’ throats, forcing them to abandon their high-end GTX 10 series GPUs in order for people to adapt to the so-called “Ray-Tracing” technology meant for realistic reflections.

This will only be possible if the manufacturing of the GTX 10 series high-end GPUs is halted. Because the GTX 1080 Ti was the fastest graphics card available before the release of the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti, many people purchased it because of the value for money. When Nvidia released the RTX 2080 at a higher price than the GTX 1080 Ti, despite the fact that the performance was equivalent, people simply skipped the RTX 2080 in favor of the GTX 1080 Ti, which was much more affordable, and in many cases was available for around $500, which was $300 less than the RTX 2080.

According to several reliable sources, Nvidia abruptly halted manufacturing of the GTX 1080 Ti. Gamers Nexus is one of them, citing “multiple industry sources,” and it can also be seen on online shops like Amazon and Newegg, where GTX 1080 Tis from various vendors are either out of stock or priced considerably more, implying that there is a scarcity of GTX 1080 Tis on the market.

On the other hand, RTX 2080s from various suppliers are now going for over $800 and are all in stock. So, gamers will be very fortunate if they can get a GTX 1080 Ti for less than $700, or they will be forced to pay more to acquire an RTX 2080.
