Adrenalin drivers were updated to decrease power consumption by up to 10% in 4K 60fps video playback. The best graphics cards 2021 is a problem that has been present for a while. The Adrenalin driver update decreases power consumption of the RDNA 2 GPUs in 4K 60fps video playback.
AMD drivers have a reputation for being unreliable. The same issue occurred recently with most RDNA2 GPUs, particularly the RX 6600XT. Thanks to ComputerBase for spotting a problem with the RDNA2 GPUs using excessive amounts of electricity.
During YouTube 4K60 playback, they observed that the RX 6600XT used more power than other RDNA2 graphics cards. They decided to do the same test again. The Adrenalin 21.8.1 driver was found to be lowering the temperature. Even with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, there was a substantial reduction in power usage.
As a result, the irregularity in power consumption has been addressed using the most recent drivers. The Navi 22 (RX 6700 XT) outperforms the Navi 21 (RX 6800/6900), while the Navi 23 (RX 6600 XT) outperforms the Navi 22 in terms of efficiency. AMD also made modifications to the 2D behavior, which was observed.
It was previously creating problems with higher refresh rate displays, and even with the newest upgrades, all RDNA GPUs continue to use a significant amount of power. The RX6600 is the sole exception. The problem with YouTube playback has nearly been resolved with the most recent update. The memory clock is no longer set at 8000MHz in the newest drivers, resulting in reduced power usage.
However, with the most recent drivers, the gains are still modest. When the HRD mode was enabled, however, no difference was seen from the prior testing. The RDNA2 GPUs run at maximum speed, which means they use more power.
The CPU cooler is one of the most important components in your computer. It keeps your processor cool and stable, which allows it to perform at its best. There are two types of cooling solutions available for CPUs: air and liquid. Air coolers are more affordable, but they’re also less efficient than liquid coolers. Which type of cooler is better for you?
When it comes to air vs liquid CPU coolers, the water cooling is more suitable for you. A study found that air cooling was not as effective as liquid cooling. Read more in detail here: water cooling vs air cooling benchmarks.
This is a hotly debated subject. It’s difficult for novices to decide which is the best choice for them since both offer effective cooling for your CPU but have distinct characteristics. Is it better to use an air or liquid cooling for your CPU?
I won’t mention some points based on what some others say; instead, I’ll explain some things based on my own experience with both. I haven’t tried many CPU coolers, but if you test them both at the same time, it’s simple to choose a winner.
I used to have two CPU coolers when I constructed my own gaming computer around a month ago. Both were air coolers, but one was stock and the other was aftermarket. Nonetheless, there is no need to argue whether to use a stock or aftermarket CPU cooler since we all know that standard CPU coolers are just meant to cool down CPUs, not to offer the greatest performance.
A larger heatsink and a stronger cooling fan are required for a gaming computer, especially one that can overclock its CPU to improve performance. Fortunately, there is a broad range of CPU coolers available on the market, with prices ranging from $10 to more than $100. As you go up the pricing scale, each of these air coolers provides more and greater cooling. However, air coolers are often less expensive than liquid coolers.
Do they, however, perform well enough?
To clarify certain issues, I put my two CPU coolers to the test and compared them in a few areas. Cooler Master Hyper 103 air cooler and Deepcool Captain 240 liquid cooler are the two options. Please don’t attack me by claiming that the prices of these coolers are vastly different and that they are not comparable. This isn’t a comparison of two similarly priced CPU coolers; rather, it’s a test to determine whether there’s enough of a performance difference to justify the price difference.
How Does Each Work?
The mechanism of the air cooler is simple. By establishing direct contact with the CPU, an aluminum heatsink with or without copper pipes is utilized to absorb heat. The heat is dispersed over the heatsink, which is cooled by the fan connected to it.
According on the quality of the heatsink, copper pipes may or may not be present. Copper heat pipes in a CPU cooler offer more efficient cooling at a higher cost. Heatsinks come in a variety of sizes, depending on their quality. The larger the heatsink, the better the cooling will be. Alternatively, the more copper pipes in direct contact with the CPU on a heatsink, the greater the cooling.
The mechanics of a liquid cooler is complicated. A pump, a radiator, and radiator fans are used in a liquid cooler. The pump and the radiator are linked by tubes that enable water or coolant to flow from the pump to the radiator and back.
The liquid becomes heated when the pump begins operating because the copper plate of the cooler is in direct contact with the CPU. The hot water is sent via tubings to the radiator because liquid absorbs heat from metal more effectively than air. The radiator’s fins are constructed of aluminum. The radiators range in size from 120mm to 360mm. The more fins there are, the simpler it will be to dissipate heat.
The radiator’s fans are now blowing air straight into the fins, causing the fins to cool. As a consequence, the liquid in indirect contact with the fins cools down and returns to the pump for the next cycle. As a result, this is more efficient than just cooling with air.
Which is the safer option?
Because water may destroy all of your components in seconds if it leaks, an air cooler is much safer than a liquid cooler. Air coolers are always functional, and the worst that may happen is a fan failure, which you can replace at any moment for less than $15. However, the heatsink will still perform its job, but thermal throttling is to be anticipated while gaming or doing other CPU-intensive tasks.
When it comes to liquid coolers, water leaking from pipes or pumps is very uncommon. However, if it happens, your whole system will fail, and even if your pump can be repaired, you will have to replace the damaged components. Although liquid cooling is safe and you should not be scared of it, it is possible that anything may go wrong. But it isn’t as simple as that. A liquid cooler’s tubes and all of its components are sufficiently tight to avoid leaking. So, if you like cooler weather, go ahead.
Noise
This is one of the most crucial considerations when selecting a CPU cooler. If you believe that performance is all that matters and that noise levels are unimportant, you will be annoyed once your CPU cooler begins to run at full speed.
Noise levels under 30 DB are unnoticeable, but if they exceed that, you may notice them, which may interfere with your in-game sound. My computer remained quiet most of the time when I used the cooler master hyper 103, but when I maxed out the fan speed, the noise was barely audible at 30DB owing to the cooler master hyper 103’s maximum fan rpm of 2200 and reduced air pressure and air flow.
Things changed dramatically when I added the Deepcool Captain 240. Although the noise levels were unnoticeable at normal speed, they are intolerable at full speed, reaching up to 39 decibels. If you want a quiet system, this isn’t the best option. However, due of the considerably greater air pressure and air velocity, it was very noisy.
When quiet is preferred, the CM hyper 103 is a clear winner if air pressures and air flows are ignored.
Compatibility and the amount of space required
CPU Air Cooler: Air coolers just need a chassis with sufficient size to accommodate the cooler. These CPU air coolers are available in heights ranging from 90mm to 168mm. Mini cpu air coolers are ideal for building a mini-ITX gaming pc since they take up less space and provide rock solid performance, but if you want to cool your cpu even more, you’ll need a hefty heatsink with powerful PWM fans. You’ll need at least a mid tower that can handle 160mm heightened coolers.
The Hyper 212 EVO from Cooler Master is an excellent example of a low-cost CPU cooler that is capable of moderate overclocking. If you’re looking for a decent mid tower for these coolers, here’s a list of the best mid towers for every price that will not only handle tiny CPU coolers but also beefier coolers like the Noctua NH-D15.
However, there are certain compatibility problems with Air coolers. Because some of the beefier air coolers utilize two or even three fans with a large heatsink, the heatsink covers the whole motherboard, making wiring problematic. If you need to do anything like rewire and install a new ram stick, you’ll probably have to remove the heatsink first, which is a pain. Low noise and excellent performance are the only things that hefty Air coolers excel at.
In terms of my Cooler Master Hyper 103, it didn’t take up much room on my motherboard and was simple to install. Almost all of the mid towers will be able to sustain it, so you won’t have any problems.
CPU Liquid Cooler: You are wrong if you believe that only air coolers have compatibility problems. Liquid coolers, on the other hand, may seem to take up less space on the motherboard, but the amount of space required by the radiators may not be available in your case.
A strong mid tower is required to support a 120mm or 240mm radiator. Although some cases have room for two 120mm fans, this is not guarantee that your 240mm radiator will fit. Your case may or may not have enough room at the top or bottom to install radiators with fans, or you may only be able to fit a single 120mm fan on a 240mm radiator, which looks strange.
My Deepcool Captain 240mm radiator needed 240mm of space, which my case Cooler Master 690III provided since it has enough of room at the top and front for up to 280mm of radiators. The main issue is that installing a liquid cooler takes a long time since you have to deal with the large radiator after you repair your pump at the CPU. The radiator is very large, and the tubes aren’t very flexible.
To make the procedure simpler, you should install the fans before the radiator, but you’ll need a second 4 pin power port on your motherboard to power those fans in addition to the 4 pin power port for the CPU pump.
Some motherboards don’t have them, therefore you’ll have to rely on your case’s back fan or your radiator fans. As a result, it is occasionally dependent on the motherboard.
Over be honest, I prefer liquid coolers to air coolers, but there are some lovely air coolers out there, such as the BeQuite Dark Rock Pro 3 and Reeven RC-1001b Brontes, that give some nice design to the case. However, it is just an option, and it is up to the user to decide what he prefers.
Despite this, almost all liquid and air coolers are compatible with the motherboards currently on the market.
Which is the hottest?
I put the two coolers to the test on two separate occasions. The first is a program named HeavyLoad, and the second is Battlefield 4, a CPU-intensive game. These two factors are sufficient to determine which cooler is best for day-to-day use by testing the CPU temperatures and performance of two coolers.
The Deepcool captain clearly outperforms the Cooler Master hyper 103, as shown by the following data. With Deepcool Captain 40, the idle temperature was consistently around 30 degrees, and under full load, the temperature never exceeded 63 degrees in any of the cases. I continue to test my CPU in various apps and games with various fan speeds, and it has never exceeded 63 degrees Celsius. However, raising the fan speed to 100% did not significantly lower the temperature. At the expense of so much noise, the difference in temperature is just 2-3 degrees Celsius. As a result, I keep the fan speed set to standard.
Under Battlefield 4, the Coolermaster hyper 103 hit 81 degrees fairly quickly, but not in Heavy Load, which I believe is due to the increased temps of the GPU, motherboard, and RAM together. However, it had no effect on Deepcool Captain 240’s performance.
Dollar for dollar, performance
Hyper 103 by Cooler Master: $24.99
Captain 240 Deepcool: $124.99 (At the time of launch)
Conclusion
The difference in results per dollar invested is enormous. Although the Deepcool captain 240 liquid cooler seems to outperform the Cooler master hyper 103 by a significant margin, the price is almost six times more, which does not justify the price of this liquid cooler. So, if you want to cool your CPU efficiently for regular usage or even moderate overclocking, I suggest going with a cheap air cooler, however AIO coolers are ideal for enthusiasts who want to make their computers look nice and want to push the overclocking limit. It all boils down to your financial situation. If you’re looking for a low-cost gaming PC, I won’t suggest a liquid CPU cooler since it won’t make much of a difference in terms of frame rate. However, they should be recommended to aficionados who value low temperatures above everything else.
Air coolers are the best option for people who want to save money and don’t need a lot of performance. Liquid coolers offer more performance but cost more. Reference: best air cooler cpu.

The AM4 platform has been around for a while now, but the Coffee Lake platform is new and exciting. This article will compare the two to see which is better for gaming.
PCPartPicker is a website that allows users to compare parts and calculate how much it will cost for them to build their own computer. It can be used to find the best AM4 vs Coffee Lake chipset.
The battle between Intel and AMD rages on, and it’s unlikely to stop anytime soon. Both firms’ newest CPUs and chipsets take computing to new heights, with more throughput, raw processing power, and even more cores than we’ve ever seen before.
Which of these chip behemoths, though, is the best? Today, we’ll try to address that question by breaking down both criteria and how they relate to you, the computer buyer, and your requirements.
Availability and Pricing
We all know that AMD processors are typically far less expensive than Intel chips. However, with the most recent models, these distinctions have been somewhat muddled. On the upper end, you’ll discover an AMD processor that costs much more than the highest-end Intel. You may easily locate an Intel processor that meets your requirements on the lower end. Doesn’t it appear to be a tie?
However, AMD offers much more budget-friendly options than Intel. Sure, there are many high-end choices, but they will set you back between $300 and $400. However, AMD offers a number of options for around $200, making it ideal for those seeking to get the most bang for their money.
Options for Motherboards
Because of the new socket found on the Coffee Lake CPUs, your motherboard options are presently restricted. Users of the Coffee Lake processor must utilize the Z370 chipset. There are some options, but not as many as you would expect. You have much fewer options if you are a high-end user. In reality, there is just one choice available to you right now. Sure, this will change over time, but if you want to upgrade right now, you’ll have very few options.
AMD, on the other hand, uses the same socket for all of their AM4 processors, even the most current Ryzens. That means there are almost infinite options for computers that can run Intel’s newest processors. Some boards, like the X370, provide even more overclocking possibilities, while others are designed to appeal to budget-conscious buyers. If motherboard selection is essential to you, AMD is the way to go right now.
Processor Capacity
AMD’s newest CPUs feature the most cores of any chip we’ve seen. While they have attempted this in the past, the landscape today is quite different. Software is increasingly favoring more cores, which may be a game changer for AMD. But how well do AMD’s eight cores compare to Intel’s six? Unfortunately, the eight cores seldom provide as much computing power as Intel’s six cores. As a consequence, there are tests all over the place. For certain kinds of processing, AMD will come out on top in some tests.
While in other areas, like as video processing, Intel completely outperforms AMD. So, what does all of this mean? It all boils down to how you use your equipment. In certain instances, particularly in the production worlds, an AMD processor may be the ideal option for you and you will get more out of it than an Intel chip, but in others, especially in the production worlds, Intel is still the chip to beat.
Ability to Overclock
While AMD processors may be overclocked, they don’t come close to the Coffee Lake chipset in terms of overclocking. In fact, it was for this reason that Intel required a new socket type to begin with. When Intel’s processors are clocked beyond 5GHz, the single thread performance of the Coffee Lake chips skyrockets, surpassing AMD’s finest. However, keep in mind that all AMD processors may be overclocked, while Intel charges for this capability.
Even though Intel’s overclocking capabilities is much greater than AMD’s, if you need the greatest performance possible and are buying on a budget, AMD certainly has superior overclocking.
Gaming Capabilities
Isn’t this, after all, what it all boils down to? How well do the AM4 CPUs perform in comparison to Intel’s monster when it comes to your favorite games? AMD’s fortunes, however, have not improved, at least not yet.
Intel, for the most part, has the upper hand, at least for the time being. During gaming, your video card will perform the most of the hard lifting, but your CPU and chipset will be there to support it every step of the way. Gaming goes to Intel thanks to Coffee Lake’s overclocking capability. AMD, on the other hand, has significantly increased their performance. Games like Doom, for example, run in Vulkan mode nearly as well as the identical game running on Intel.
The Coffee Lake processors now enable even more cores, just like AMD, thus increases in core utilization will benefit both companies, giving AMD a greater chance to overtake Intel in the cheap gaming desktop market, where dedicated GPUs aren’t always assured.
So, which is the better option?
So, which is the superior option? It’s a tie in many ways. I know, it’s a huge shock. AMD has been used to being classified as a cheap processor, but that is no longer the case. AMD’s newest processors can easily compete with Intel’s top offerings in many respects. Intel, on the other hand, wins out in the long term, although by a little margin.
It all boils down to personal preference. If you need your computer to handle video, sophisticated computations, graphics, or even gaming, one of the newest Coffee Lake CPUs and chipsets will be more beneficial than the AMD Ryzen and AM4 chipset. On the other hand, almost everything else is either a tie or a tight call. So why pay a premium for an Intel-branded processor if it isn’t going to help you?
Consider how you utilize your computer before making your choice. If you make the right decision, you will not only save money but also precious time while waiting for your computer to process whatever you’re doing.
Last Thoughts
In the past several years, AMD has gone a long way. While they are still the greatest option for budget consumers, they also offer some excellent luxury options. While they may not be able to defeat Intel, they are making progress in catching up to the chip leader. It all comes down to how you utilize it in the end. Both chipsets have advantages and disadvantages, but they all have a place in the world.
Of course, if you’re only searching for the finest, Intel still reigns supreme, but AMD has gotten considerably closer to the summit.

AMD’s new 2990WX is the world’s fastest consumer processor, and it overclocks to 6GHz across all 32 cores and 64 threads. The amd threadripper 3990x is a high-end, multi-core processor with 64 threads. It is able to run at an overclocked speed of 6GHz across all 32 cores and 64 threads.
Ivan Cupa, an Indonesian overclocker, has established a new world record by clocking the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX CPU at 5.9554 GHz across all 32 cores and 64 threads. This was accomplished with the help of an MSI MEG X399 motherboard, a Corsair 1.5KW power supply, and a significant quantity of liquid nitrogen for temperature control.
However, the Ryzen Master tool claims that the processor is 1.45 volts, but WCCFTech questions this since the CPU-Z report contradicts this. There have also been other overclockers who have come close to matching Ivan’s clock frequency record. Lucky Noob (real name Alva Jonathan), a well-known overclocker, overclocked the 2990WX to 5.4GHz over 32 cores.
BenchBro’s had previously held the world record, but that title was taken away from him after overclocker Sampson revealed the best performance rating of Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX, scoring 8532 points at 5.367 clock frequency across all 32 cores in Cinebench R15. Even Intel’s 28 cores, 56 threads CPU showcase, which earned just 7334 points in the same test, couldn’t match this performance.
Here’s the link to the video:-
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX CPU is now widely acknowledged to be quicker than Intel’s yet-to-be-released 5GHz chip. What are your thoughts on AMD’s high-performance chip?
The AMD 2nd Gen Threadripper 2950X, 2970X and 2990X have been leaked on hwbot. The new processors are reportedly coming in August with more cores than the previous generation.
The AMD 2nd Gen Threadripper 2950X, 2970X and 2990X specs leaked on hwbot is a leak that has been posted by the website. AMD’s new Ryzen Threadripper processors are rumored to be released in August 2018. Read more in detail here: amd ryzen threadripper.
We predicted two weeks ago that AMD’s Threadripper CPUs will be released on August 13th, and according to several sources, this is more likely to be true. What’s more intriguing, though, is the disclosure of the specifications for these CPUs.
Hwbot has released the specifications for the three new Threadripper processors: Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, 2970X, and 2990X. Although AMD did not publish the specifications on their official website, a few details from the leak that we previously reported have been verified. The Ryzen 2950X will have 16 cores and 32 threads, while the Ryzen 2970X will have 24 cores and 48 threads. The Ryzen 2990X will be the first desktop CPU with 32 cores and 64 threads.
There are currently no pictures available for these chips, however other specifications are given that you may be interested in. The Ryzen 2950X will have a base speed of 3.1GHz and a TDP of 125 watts. The boost clock isn’t mentioned, although it’s lower than you’d anticipate compared to the first-generation Threadripper CPUs. The 2970X, on the other hand, runs at a considerably higher frequency, 3.5GHz, and has a TDP of 180 Watts. The TDP is remarkable for a 24-core CPU and isn’t too high. The ultimate Ryzen Threadripper 2990X is a 32-core processor with a TDP of 250 Watts, a base frequency of 3.4GHz, and a boost clock of 4.2GHz using XFR2 technology. As a result, the Ryzen 2970X’s boost clock must be near to or higher.
These processors will be fully compatible with X399 motherboards, which were designed specifically for the first-generation Threadripper CPUs. As a result, users of these motherboards will not need to replace them in order to upgrade to a powerful 2970X or 2990X.

The Athlon 200GE is AMD’s newest APU that has the potential to be a perfect match for gamers who are looking for an affordable, high-performance gaming PC.
The athlon 200ge motherboard compatibility is a perfect match for AMD Athlon 200GE.

Since last year, AMD has been active in producing more and more CPUs, whether for general or enthusiast usage. There are several older Athlon APUs on the market that provide enough integrated graphics for basic operations. AMD is currently planning to replace them with new cheap APUs. The Ryzen 2200G and 2400G have already displaced all of the prior cheap APUs, but they cost roughly $100-$150. So what about the APUs that are less expensive?
In Q4 2018, AMD will release the all-new Athlon 200GE, which will have two cores and four threads, as well as Vega graphics. All of this for the low price of $55. Isn’t it fantastic? This APU is designed to replace previous generation APUs, which are now unprofitable due to the introduction of Ryzen APUs. The Athlon 200GE will also be the first APU with a 3.2GHz clock speed. However, at this price, the clock speed is still acceptable. Intel’s Celeron G4920 and Pentium G4400 are in the same price bracket, but both have just two cores and no hyperthreading.
The Pentium G5400 is available for $70, which is $15 more costly than the 200GE but will be significantly quicker since Intel CPUs offer better single-core performance. The 200GE is AMD’s fastest dual-core hyperthreaded APU at this price, thanks to 14-nm technology and Zen architecture. It will only feature three Graphics Compute Units, so it’s clear that it’s not designed for gaming, but it might be a decent backup for your high-end CPU if you need one.
You may also save a lot of money by building an entry-level PC using an A320 chipset motherboard. For the most part, this seems to be a good bargain for PC users.

AMD has announced a new version of its RX 580 graphics card that is slower than the original, but still manages to hit speeds of up to 16GB/s. The company says this card will be available in China and other Asian countries only.
The rx 590 gme price is a new card from AMD that has been released in China. The card is slower than the original RX 580 and uses GDDR5 memory instead of GDDR5X.
We reported a few days ago that AMD was planning to release a new RX graphics card series based on the Polaris 30 architecture, which would be somewhat faster than the RX 500 series graphics cards. On 3DMark, a user called ED1981 uploaded benchmarks for the RX 590, indicating that it is almost 8% quicker than the current RX 580 graphics card. Meanwhile, AMD has released a new graphics card, which is now accessible on AMD China’s official website.
The RX 580 2048SP signifies that the GPU has 2048 Stream Processors, and all of the specifications have been given. Despite the fact that the graphics card is called RX 580, it has the same specifications as the RX 570 but with slightly higher core/boost clocks. It’s unclear if the RX 580 2048SP will be limited to China exclusively, but this isn’t the first time AMD or Nvidia has done something similar.
They’ve changed the names in the past in order to increase sales, but consumers don’t always notice. Many people may mistakenly believe that the RX 580 2048SP is the genuine RX 580, however its specifications clearly differentiate it from the RX 580. It has 32 computing units, 128 texture units, and 5.1 TFlops of compute capability, compared to 36 computing units, 144 texture units, and 62. TFlops for the original RX 580.

AMD has established a name for itself in recent years, and they are always working to offer us new products, some of which are publicly published and others which are released in a more covert manner. Previously, AMD and Global Foundries released the Ryzen 2400G and 2200G laptop processors, which enable users to experience desktop-like performance in notebooks. Recently, two new laptop APUs were discovered on their website, namely AMD Ryzen 7 2800H and AMD Ryzen 5 2600H, which were launched quietly.
Both APUs have four cores and eight threads, and they can operate in 35-45 TDP situations, giving laptop manufacturers additional choices to play with. When clocked at 3.6GHz, the Ryzen 7 2800H has a base clock frequency of 3.3GHz and a boost frequency of 3.8GHz, as well as 704SP (11 compute units, 64 stream processors per unit).
The Ryzen 5 2600H, on the other hand, has a base clock frequency of 3.2GHz and a maximum boost frequency of 3.6GHz, as well as less GPU power. AMD has set the CPU to accommodate DDR4-3200 memory unit and has clocked the VEGA GPU cores at 1100MHz.
According to the precise specifications of the 2800H, this new CPU will be quicker than desktop gaming processors, while the Ryzen 5 2600H will be identical to the 2200G. Both of these new APUs include AMD’s newest technologies, such as SenseMI and FreeSync, making them even more appealing.
