It wouldn’t make sense to invest hundreds of dollars on a GPU if you’re constructing an office PC.

If you’re a casual gamer who only plays once in a while, search for a graphics card that costs between $150 and $300. If you fall into the third group – serious gamers – begin your search for the most powerful GPUs available. The problem is, the most recent games are very demanding, and if you want to play them at the maximum resolution and FPS, you’ll have to go deep into your wallet.

When it comes to selecting a graphics card, performance is the single most essential aspect to consider, as well as the one that has the most effect on the price. Because it may be complicated at times, they usually split it into four categories:

  • Due to the lack of a standard size for graphics cards, you should double-check that the graphics card you’ve chosen will fit your PC. If your card is either too long or too broad, it may cause issues. A wider card may take several slots, limiting the usefulness of your computer.
  • Power Supply – It’s also a good idea to look at your GPU’s power usage as stated by the manufacturer. GPUs are the most power-hungry components, and the more powerful they are, the more power they will usually use, necessitating the use of an appropriate power supply. You may follow the manufacturer’s suggestion or make your own by adding up how much power each component uses and leaving a fair amount of room for future upgrades or overclocking – 100W should enough.

The MSI 2080Ti is a must-have if you intend on playing the latest games at 4k resolution on maxed-out settings. Take a look at the specifications – 4352 CUDA cores, 11GB GDDR6 memory, and a clock speed of 1755 MHz (with overclocking potential) – That’s enough to run games like Metro Exodus or Hitman 2 at 4k resolution with maxed-out settings at a minimum frame rate of 60 frames per second.

The findings were acceptable when compared to the 2080 and 2080S. We put all three to the test in a variety of games, and the 2080Ti outperformed the 2080 and the 2080S by 25-30% and 15-20%, respectively.

The Gigabyte 2080 Super is another card on the list. When tested in the most demanding games at 4k with the highest settings, the performance was not as excellent as the 2080Ti, with an average of 20-30 fps slower. However, with a considerably lower price tag than the 2080Ti, this is to be expected.

However, if you’re willing to lower the settings a little, you can count on the card to perform admirably.

Where the Gigabyte 2080 Super truly shines is at 25601440. If you have a 144hz QHD display, you may anticipate blistering frames per second in the latest games at the best possible quality.

With a 7nm CPU, decent 16GB HBM2 memory, and 1TB per second memory speed, AMD’s latest high-end graphics card was the first to hit the market. You will be able to immerse yourself in realistic game visuals up to 4k as a result of this.

After evaluating the Radeon VII, it’s fair to conclude that it’s more than capable of competing with the Nvidia 2080 at a comparable price point. The 2080 Super and 2080Ti are still unaffected by AMD.

The Radeon VII performed admirably at QHD with maximum out settings, averaging north of 100 fps in most instances, and was 10% slower than Nvidia’s 2080 Super.

Radeon’s unique architecture, on the other hand, will help you in more ways than simply gaming:

Apart from high-end gaming, the crazy memory makes it ideal for producing material in up to 8k HD or VR.
  • RDNA architecture – The groundbreaking 7nm design enables the GPU to operate 25% quicker while using the same amount of power as last year’s model Vega 64.

It’s great to see AMD putting out a high-end GPU that can compete with Nvidia on a higher level, but if you’re just looking for a gaming GPU, with a similar price to the direct competitor (RTX 2080) and the fact that the VII performs slower in most cases, I don’t see why you’d choose the VII over the 2080, or even the Super version.

With the ASUS RTX 2070 Super, we’re moving closer to GPUs that are more cheap while still being powerful. Let’s have a look at the differences between the founder’s edition and the ASUS edition before we get into the testing findings.

They both feature a base speed of 1605MHz, but the ASUS version’s default game mode boost clock is 1905MHz, compared to 1770MHz for the reference card, which is one of several factors that contribute to the pricing difference.

When we attempted overclocking the ASUS 2070 Super, we were able to get the clock up to 2100MHz and the RAM up to 16GHz with no problems.

After overclocking, we put the card to the test with our collection of games, all set to their highest settings.

The results are very clear after testing it at 4k and QHD. While it struggles to achieve 60 fps in 4k in certain instances, it performs much better in QHD, maintaining far north of the 60 fps threshold. The only game that caused the 2070 Super to struggle to reach 60 fps was the demanding Metro: Exodus.

In addition, the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2070 Super O8G has the following features:

All of this adds up to a respectable performance at a fair price. Some may say that the price is still more than it should be, but I believe you are getting excellent value for your money. To summarize, this 2070 Super is great at FullHD and QHD, performs OK at 4k provided the settings are reduced, and has outstanding cooling and design, which, in my view, is enough to justify the price.

Gigabyte’s RTX 2060 Super graphics card provides excellent performance for all middle-class gamers. You may anticipate to play your favorite game in FullHD with no quality settings to worry about. If you have a QHD display at home, you will need to adjust your settings somewhat.

When we put the card to the test in our setup, it proved to be true. With most games at FullHD, I’m getting about 100 fps with maxed out settings. The fps decreased as anticipated in QHD, but they still managed to stay over 60 fps — only Metro: Exodus had GPU problems and couldn’t achieve 60 fps.

While the 2060 Super performs well at lesser resolutions, gaming at 4k is totally out of the question unless you drastically reduce your settings — but why would you want to play at 4k with terrible details?

Like the other RTX cards, the RTX 2060 Super has real-time ray tracing, but you should anticipate a substantial performance impact when it is activated, and it may create some problems – if you can’t live without it, look at GPUs from higher categories like the 2080 Super or 2080 Ti.

The Radeon 5700 XT is a fantastic GPU from the high-end category. In nearly all of the latest games, it performs well in FullHD and QHD with settings maxed up. At 4k, though, don’t expect it to blow the doors off. You’ll be able to play certain games at 4K, but you’ll have to lower the settings in many instances.

When compared to the NVIDIA RTX 2070, we were pleasantly pleased to find that it is 10% quicker on average, while being somewhat less expensive. It’s worth noting, though, that the RX 5700 XT lacks ray tracing and DLSS, two key technologies that will become gaming standards in the future years.

That stated, it all boils down to personal taste and financial constraints. I prefer the 5700 XT simply because it is less expensive, the ray tracing isn’t worth it in terms of performance, and there are just a few games that support it at the moment.

This GTX 1660 Ti will offer you with a decent performance, excellent cooling, a stylish appearance, and Gigabyte’s 4-year guarantee.

Our tests confirmed what NVIDIA says this card was built for: excellent FullHD resolution performance. The 1660Ti has little trouble achieving 100fps+ on average with nearly all AAA games. At 1440p, things altered a little, and you had to lower the settings a little with certain games – but there were no problems with playability.

The greatest surprise for us was discovering that the AMD Vega 56 outperformed the 1660Ti by 10% on average, despite the fact that most evaluations put it below it. And depending on which manufacturer you choose, both are selling for about the same price.

One feature we appreciated, especially with streaming becoming more popular, is the GTX 1660 Ti dedicated hardware encoders, which offer 15% more efficiency than previous-generation graphics cards. It’s also designed to work with Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)

The Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 8GB is another excellent video card from AMD, capable of producing smooth frames at FullHD and QHD resolutions. It handled the FullHD maximum settings load without breaking a sweat throughout our tests. The same thing occurred in QHD, with the exception that Metro: Exodus was a tougher pill to take, averaging 50FPS.

Given the RX 5700’s cheaper price tag and the fact that it outperformed the NVIDIA RTX 2060 by 10% during our tests, it’s a no-brainer in terms of performance/value.

However, you’ll have the identical issue with the RX 5700 as you had with the XT version. When DLSS and ray tracing technologies become commonplace in the future, you may regret choosing the RX 5700 over the RTX 2060. But, without a question, if you’re looking for the greatest QHD performance at the lowest price, the RX 5700 is the best choice.

The Asus Rog Strix GTX 1660 Ti O6G Gaming provides a compelling performance for those middle-class gamers who aren’t too enthusiastic about ray tracing or DLSS technology. The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics cards do not support this feature. To be honest, only a few game titles currently offer ray tracing or DLSS, so this disadvantage is more of a formality.

The Asus Rog Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti O6G performed as anticipated throughout our performance tests. At FullHD, it lags behind the GeForce RTX 2060 by around 14%. It did, however, beat the rival Radeon RX 590 by 16% and the older GTX 1060 6GB with older Pascal architecture by a respectable 40%.

With nearly all of the newest game titles, it also runs well in QHD, averaging north of 60 frames per second. If you have a QHD display with a high refresh rate, you may need to lower the settings a notch or two.

The Asus Rog Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti O6G also comes with the following features:

If you’re a casual player who prefers FullHD and isn’t concerned with fine details but rather with affordability and power efficiency, this graphics card may be ideal for you.

The GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1650 OC 4G is a low-cost alternative designed for casual gamers. It does not support real-time ray tracing or DLSS.

We didn’t even bother trying it out at 1440p after testing it at 1080p. With less demanding gaming titles, it can get 60FPS with maxed-out settings, but with more demanding games, you’ll need to lower the settings a little to get smooth frames.

But, as I previously said, this is a cheap choice for anybody who doesn’t take gaming seriously and instead plays for pleasure or has a PC at home for little children. This GPU isn’t going to provide world-class performance.
