You know, since I’ve been so busy with school, I haven’t really had a lot of time to play video games. So, I thought I’d make a short video review of Final Fantasy XV’s latest DLC, “Episode Ignis”, which came out recently.
Final Fantasy XV’s Episode Ignis (FF15:EI) DLC has finally arrived, and it’s free for all owners of the game. I’ve never been the biggest fan of the game, but this new DLC is a stunning change of pace. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and the story is gripping and well thought out. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Final Fantasy XV is finally out and we are eager to add this to our favorite Final Fantasy games, but what should we think of Episode Ignis? Is it just another episode, or is it more than that? In this review, we will show you why the DLC is worth checking out.
Final Fantasy XV Episode Ignis is one of the numerous DLC add-ons available for the game. It follows the events of Chapter 9 of the main game through the eyes of the character Ignis.
Ignis was our personal favourite character in the game so we where quite looking forward to this one and was the main reason we even decided to purchase a Season Pass.
Now, moving on to the DLC’s content, we were pleasantly pleased by how enjoyable Ignis’ fighting skills are. As a Dagger user, he has the ability to sprint to and from various opponents, allowing for a very entertaining and addicting battle experience. It was everything really easy and pleasant.
The narrative, on the other hand, does a good job of explaining what happened throughout those events. Unfortunately, like with the basic game, we couldn’t help but be perplexed by it all, either because the narrative was boring or because something was missing.
We’re not sure why we feel this way; it might be because of how disappointing the basic game was for us, and therefore no matter how hard we try, we can’t seem to get into anything connected to the game. Another explanation for this may be because the DLC is very linear, with little side material to explore and nothing else to do.
Though the narrative does an adequate job of conveying what precisely happened to Ignis throughout the main game, it still seems like it is identical to the main game, and by that we mean that it lacks something. However, it was wonderful to see the characters return, and their voice performers give their voices to the proper roles once again. Even though the plot was ordinary, the people themselves were fascinating, and therefore the story was quite the contrary. The gaming elements are engaging and exciting, making it much easier to get through a rather boring narrative.
+ An enjoyable fighting system that seemed extremely smooth and fluid + An enjoyable music + The opportunity to acquire various alternative endings and view things in different ways was great Plus It was a blast playing as Ignis.
+ The narrative gets the message through, although it still seems stale + The camera may be finicky at times, but it’s generally tolerable + This game seems overly linear due to a lack of side stuff.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis is short, but sweet, and I’m very pleased with it. It’s one of the best bits of DLC I’ve played in ages, and easily outdoes the base game in terms of value. There’s one section in the game that is particularly memorable, and I’m going to go into that in the review.. Read more about final fantasy xvi and let us know what you think.
