Last week we received a new game called Outriders from unknown developer Enoch, and gave it a first look. The game’s frustratingly short length and lack of content left us wanting more, but with a good amount of innovation and fun to spare.

Outriders is a new indie game that has been making the rounds of the gaming world lately, and it is better than it has any right to be. Published by independent developer Nexon, this world-spanning RPG is set in a unique and intriguing world in which humans are forced to live in floating cities complete with sky-domes.

Enoch is a free, open-world RPG that takes place in a post-apocalyptic landscape. You’ll be able to craft and upgrade weapons, craft and upgrade armor and more. You’ll be able to take on dozens of missions, join clans, and build your own fortress. One of the best parts of Enoch is that it’s entirely moddable. This means that players can use third-party mods to modify the game, including more weapons, armor, characters and so on.

Outriders is an action role-playing game featuring a lot of adventure and places to visit. With a universe that encourages you to explore undiscovered secrets full of adventure and a slew of foes. Your mission, as a high-ranking soldier who was previously a member of the Flores crew, is to find a new livable planet now that Earth is no longer a viable option. However, as the crew quickly discovers, things are not going to be simple.

The game offers a broad variety of personalization options, including the ability to play as either a male or female and altering their looks with haircuts, tattoos, and more. You may also personalize your weaponry, which is useful if you have a favorite weapon that you want to improve or if you just want to try something new. This is just a tiny sample of what’s available to experiment with and truly get into the zone.

When it comes to weaponry, there is a wide selection to pick from, including a variety of Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Machine Guns, and more, so be sure to mix and combine to suit your preferences.

The many classes that you may play as are very enjoyable, but we were only able to play as the Technomancer class. However, with the ability to summon Turrets and lob explosives if you want to play from afar, the Technomancer is a fantastic and entertaining class to be. If you are swarmed, you can cast a crowd control ability to calm things down. As previously said, there are many different classes to choose from, some of which are more effective at particular tasks than others. For example, the Devastator is a close-range class with the capacity to tank opponents, while the Pyromancer has the ability to manipulate fire, to name a few. You may also change your skills as you level up to fit your overall play style.

The game supports both solo and multiplayer modes, allowing you to experience the narrative and side missions alone or with a group of up to three people to share the different quests. The matching is very excellent, and you are quickly paired with individuals that share your interests and are on a similar level to you. So don’t worry if you don’t have any close pals to play with; the matching system will take care of you.

Many of the regions are brief, but there are plenty of side quests, hunts, desired bounties, and other extra stuff to keep you entertained. You may also gather different journals and notes that are strewn around the place and might help you get a better understanding of the many people and realms.

OVERALL:

This game was obviously intended for multiplayer, as the developer said before its debut, and we believe that this is correct. As someone who has played both multiplayer and solo versions of the game, I suggest playing multiplayer whenever feasible. When playing alone, the game lacks overall pleasure since the majority of the game is a continuous shooter with little cinematic moments, which may get tedious and monotonous over time.

You may raise the overall game difficulty by changing the World level, which is an option that stays accessible throughout the game. Increasing the difficulty also rewards you with better gear, making it worthwhile in the long run. This may make it more enjoyable for individuals who like to play alone, but it was not worth it in our opinion.

We also didn’t care for your traveling buddies; most of the time, they simply sit about looking bored with nothing to say or do. This didn’t assist with the narrative, but it would have been great to have a few with you in combat if you don’t like joining up with other people for any reason but still like the companionship.

Another thing I don’t like about the game is that you have to be online all of the time. We had a lot of problems playing online, whether we were attempting to play alone or not. Server problems were common, as were blue screen error messages that kicked us out of the game, and it seemed like it took forever to be logged in and play.

I’d say this game is only worth it if you’re a big lover of shooter games and like playing with others; otherwise, I’d advise staying away since the absence of a compelling narrative and characters, not to mention the repetitive shooting action, left me feeling underwhelmed.
