Should you play Watch Dogs 2 in 2020? |

We’ve heard about Watch Dogs 2 for quite some time now. The game is confirmed to be set in San Francisco and will even feature a major character from the first game. But, there is a lot we still don’t know about the sequel. For example, we don’t know if it will be a direct sequel, or an open world game with no clear linear order of the story.

There are those who say that games are dying. They cite first-person shooters, indie games, AAA games, free-to-play games, and so on as the proof. Others say that game sales are up, pointing to triple-A games like GTA V, Fallout 4, and Dark Souls III. I won’t wade into this debate. Instead, I’ll take a different approach. How about a game?

Watch Dogs 2 is the sequel to 2015’s Watch Dogs, a game that was a surprise hit upon release. Almost immediately, it was revealed that Watch Dogs 2 would be a sequel, and many questioned this decision. While the original game was only moderately successful upon release, the sequel was expected to be more successful, and developed by new studio Ubisoft Montreal.. Is it still worth it to play Watch Dogs 2 in 2020, given the arrival of Watch Dogs: Legion later this year? Not long ago, many individuals all around the globe were able to get their hands on a free copy of Watch Dogs 2. Owing to the fact that E3 has been canceled due to the present situation, game developers and publishers have turned to internet broadcasting to promote their new titles. The Ubisoft Forward online event was Ubisoft’s own version of this. To encourage people to follow the broadcast, Ubisoft opted to give away prizes based on how long they’d been watching, with one of the larger prizes being a free copy of Watch Dogs 2 delivered to your UPlay account. Because of the large number of people watching the broadcast and attempting to get into their UPlay accounts to collect the prizes, UPlay was having none of it. Logging in was almost difficult.

Ubisoft compensated for the problems by making Watch Dogs 2 available for free once again in exchange for creating your UPlay account on their website. Within a few days of registering, the game will be added to your account.

I was the only one in my group of friends who was even somewhat interested in the original Watch Dogs game. And, although I had a lot of fun with it, I wasn’t too keen on buying the sequel when it came out. I was planning on waiting till it went on sale, but with Ubisoft’s recent free offer and everyone being quarantined at home, I’ve run out of reasons not to play it.

During its heyday, the original game was plagued with controversy, the most notable of which being the graphics decrease on release compared to the prior E3 demo. This was enough to confuse the audience’s initial enthusiasm for the demonstration. Gamers had unrealistic expectations for the scope of the hacking capabilities, and many players were disappointed by the simplistic, virtually one-button hacking that really occurred.

When it came to hacking controls, they were precisely what I had hoped for. When the game is intended to appeal to a broad market of players with different play styles and skill levels, it would be stupid to make the hacking controls too complicated.

The primary protagonist, Aiden Pierce, was my major gripe with the original Watch Dogs. You’d assume that in a game about hacking, you’d take control of a hacker. Instead, you’ll meet a vigilante out on vengeance. Aiden Pierce is, to be honest, a hacker, but not to the degree that you would anticipate, given that he employs hacking tools created by others. Aiden isn’t even a member of DedSec, the Watch Dogs universe’s most well-known hacking organization. Aiden is particularly skilled at wreaking devastation and murder on the city of Chicago.

Unlocking power-ups and tools was another problem I experienced with the original game. While I liked how exploring the wide environment might offer a variety of prizes, I was able to get many of the more powerful tools early on, making many of the game’s major objectives easy.

In 2018, Watch Dogs 2 released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. PC players were able to enjoy the game at a 4K resolution along with an unlocked frame-rate, which means players can hack and frag with ease and more like the original game. PS4 players, on the other hand, were met with a locked 30 FPS frame-rate.. Read more about watch dogs 2 is good and let us know what you think.
